Developer Mode Issues Update
Hello everyone, Thank you all for your reports and your patience on this issue! In regards to developers being unable to enable Developer Mode in the Oculus app, a new update has been pushed to fix the issue. Please update your Oculus app to the latest version (as of the date of this post) and try enabling Developer Mode once more. Update 11/8: The fix pushed to the latest App Update does not seem to have fixed the issue for all developers. At this time we are re-opening the issue and will update this post as well as this forum thread with any relevant details. In the meantime, many of our awesome developers have shared that verifying using a Credit Card allowed the Developer Mode option to appear. Update 11/15: We have received reports that this issue has been fixed for most developers experiencing this issue. Please log out and log back into your Oculus app and try enabling Developer Mode once more. If you still experience the same issue, please reach out to our team at https://developer.oculus.com/support (click "Contact Us") and we'll dive deeper.32KViews8likes53CommentsCan't verify Oculus Developer Account
I wanted to Turn on developer mode for my account, but every time I try it will tell me to verify my account. I didn't have a payment method and Phone Number Verification wasn't working so I got the Authenticator App and connected it which did work. The only problem is when I go to create an organization, it still tells me to verify my account when I already have 2FA. I've reloaded and don't know what to do. Can anyone help me?Solved19KViews6likes25CommentsOculus quest 2 developer mode not working properly
Hello, Since yesterday 15:30 (AMS time) The developer hub app stopped working properly. I've done a total of 3 factory resets. I reinstalled all my accounts. Reinstalled every app on my computer for developing for the oculus. But the problem persists. The problem is: I connect the oculus through the usb cable to the computer. The hub detects it as usual. But 6 seconds into the future and it kicks the device right of the hub. It tells me: Device detected but unauthorized. Please put on your headset to confirm the USB Debugging dialog. Funny thing is, I allowed this already. I have to restart the device to see this window pop up again. It's on always allow for this computer. But the problem still persists. It kicks my device after exactly 6 seconds and I get the same message, over and over again. Lovely problem. Working already for 6 hours to resolve this problem, but can't seem to find anyone on any forum with the same problem. I haven't found a work around so if someone finds a solution or knows what is wrong please let me know. Just want to add that this is one of the worst devices I have worked with. Can't seem to get this device to work stable for development. Mark fix your company14KViews4likes6CommentsDeveloper mode quest still missing "Developer" and "Experiments" options - HELP!
Hi all, I have put 2 brand new Quests headsets into developer mode through the app. I have even deployed my "unknown sources" APK onto the headsets no problem so they are definately in "Developer Mode". They are also updated to the latest software/firmware. For some reason I cannot see the "Developer" and "Experiments" options in Settings -> See all. I have 2 other headsets on exactly the same software version etc and they have the options. Only difference is that ones showing it I bought 2 months ago. I have tried restarting the headsets etc and toggling developer mode off and on again but no dice! Anyone know how I can get these options to appear (which they should in a developer mode quest)? All headsets are on 358570.9320.0. I have attached two images. One from a headset with the options and one without. both are in developer mode and restarted. e6.3KViews1like6CommentsCan't continue with game development. SMS Authentication is still broken
I'm really sad because I need to update my software and after recent updates I'm no longer developer and I can't even run my builds on my Quest2 and Meta Quest Pro devices. I've managed to get into developer mode by enable 2FA in the past but now I'm not sure if that's enough? I can't get any SMS-authentication codes because it seems to be broken. Everywhere in this forum I can see there are more problems related to this but unfortunately no answers. Should I just give up? I'm really happy to get all the forum-badges! (https://youtu.be/uEvWg_Yikxs) I got 5 today! 😂Solved6.2KViews0likes9CommentsNo Developer Mode on Quest or Rift
Been trying for 7 days now- numerous emails back and forth with tech support 1 Quest 2 2 Rifts Iphone About ready to give up. Was going to teach VR with Unity and Oculus, but only thing students have learned so far is that if you want to be a developer then probably best to buy a different headset. Other companies simply enable developer mode - not tied into Facebook.5.6KViews2likes15CommentsIs WebXR dom-overlay support hidden behind a feature flag?
Hi, I'm trying to use the WebXR `dom-overlay` feature. I've tried some online demos and turning on these Chrome flags: "WebXR Experiments" "Experimental Platform features" But no joy. Is this simply not supported? Is there any plan to support it? Thanks Wayne5.5KViews3likes10CommentsDeveloper Mode Disabled when switching to Secondary Account
I have some testers that when they change to a secondary account on their Oculus Quest 2, Developer Mode becomes disabled and have to use Oculus phone app to re-enable. Looking for a solution or fix that does not require Developer Mode to be re-enabled every time their spouse or kids use the Oculus.Solved5.2KViews2likes3CommentsUnreal Engine github version not compatible with MetaXRPlatform plugin.
Hello, I'm sure I've done something wrong or missed something, but I'm trying to get my entitlement check working and I'm having a heck of a time. A bit of background: I've downloaded and compiled the latest Unreal Engine github fork I've built my project and it works and everything is compiling and happy I made a Game Instance blueprint I've tried to drag out an Entitlement pin, and Unreal Engine finds nothing. When I download the MetaXRPlatform (Version 65.0) The Engine starts up with this error: The 'OculusPlatform' plugin was designed for build 5.3.0. Attempt to load it anyway? and when I press Yes it gives me another error: The following modules are missing or built with a different engine version: OVRPlatform Engine modules cannot be compiled at runtime. Please build through your IDE. Do I need to compile something else somewhere? Please help! JPSolved5KViews1like8Comments
