Can't verify Oculus Developer Account
I wanted to Turn on developer mode for my account, but every time I try it will tell me to verify my account. I didn't have a payment method and Phone Number Verification wasn't working so I got the Authenticator App and connected it which did work. The only problem is when I go to create an organization, it still tells me to verify my account when I already have 2FA. I've reloaded and don't know what to do. Can anyone help me?Solved19KViews6likes25CommentsDeveloper mode quest still missing "Developer" and "Experiments" options - HELP!
Hi all, I have put 2 brand new Quests headsets into developer mode through the app. I have even deployed my "unknown sources" APK onto the headsets no problem so they are definately in "Developer Mode". They are also updated to the latest software/firmware. For some reason I cannot see the "Developer" and "Experiments" options in Settings -> See all. I have 2 other headsets on exactly the same software version etc and they have the options. Only difference is that ones showing it I bought 2 months ago. I have tried restarting the headsets etc and toggling developer mode off and on again but no dice! Anyone know how I can get these options to appear (which they should in a developer mode quest)? All headsets are on 358570.9320.0. I have attached two images. One from a headset with the options and one without. both are in developer mode and restarted. e6.3KViews1like6CommentsNo Developer Mode on Quest or Rift
Been trying for 7 days now- numerous emails back and forth with tech support 1 Quest 2 2 Rifts Iphone About ready to give up. Was going to teach VR with Unity and Oculus, but only thing students have learned so far is that if you want to be a developer then probably best to buy a different headset. Other companies simply enable developer mode - not tied into Facebook.5.6KViews2likes15CommentsDeveloper Mode Disabled when switching to Secondary Account
I have some testers that when they change to a secondary account on their Oculus Quest 2, Developer Mode becomes disabled and have to use Oculus phone app to re-enable. Looking for a solution or fix that does not require Developer Mode to be re-enabled every time their spouse or kids use the Oculus.Solved5.2KViews2likes3CommentsCan't find more settings to access developer mode on Oculus app (quest 2)
I'm signed up successfully as a developer on Oculus. My headset is synced to my phone app perfectly, it says it's connected. I want to go into developer mode through the app, and every tutorial I find on how to achieve this says I have to access settings to do so. However, there are only two settings options I can find -- Account Settings, and Privacy Settings. Neither of these contains what I'm looking for. Supposedly there is a "more settings" option somewhere, but it doesn't seem to exist. Why won't it allow me to go into Developer Mode on the app?3.2KViews2likes4CommentsDeveloper Automation - How to bypass the "Controllers Required"
I've taken a while to setup quest automation as part of our build process as a sanity test with end to end functionality. The test works by pushing apk to device and then running a scene that teleports around and does a few things without the need for the touch controllers (however we had to figure out how to enable the proximity sensor as I couldn't find adb commands to keep the screen on during the tests). After a recent Oculus Quest update within the past few months (I was out on vacation), our automation is failing to launch our test scene in the apk because Oculus Home is showing a "Controllers Required" dialog that waits for controllers to be active. I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to bypass this. For exact wording, the dialog is: "Controllers Required" "Please pick up your controllers and select Continue to use this app." "Cancel" "Continue" 1. I was hoping there would be a to disable this similarly to how we can disable the guardian from the developer menu but no luck. Can this be added or is there another recommended way to get around this? 2. Is there something that can be set in the manifest (from unity) to disable this requirement? I haven't looked into sdk changes of the unity plugin yet and will do so. I'm hoping that this isn't required though as that means I can never run older builds of our app for perf testing. I want to be able to make some games in vr and play them on my Quest, but whenever I try and verify my Developer account by text, the text never sends. No matter what phone I use, it just won't send. I could really use some help, I've been stuck on this for like a week now.2.5KViews0likes4CommentsError in mobile app when try to set developer mode
I cannot set developer mode after doing a factory reset on my Quest 2. I'm having the black screen issues, so I did a factory reset to try to solve it. But it doesn't help and now I'm trying to get developer mode to disable proximity sensor, but when I switch the developer mode button in mobile app I'm getting the error shown in the picture. The message in red says: we're having trouble completing your request. Try again... I haven't had problems to set developer mode before. But now it seems impossible. I tried all common troubleshooting... Remove phone number / CC in developer account, I created a new developer account, changed the Oculus account, tried in another phone, etc. Nothing helped. Because black screen I cannot even enter the Oculus home. Tried all known troubleshooting to solve Oculus black screen issue, nothing helped too.2.1KViews2likes4CommentsQuest must be restarted while plugged in to be detected by Win10 PC on Developer mode
We are using the latest Oculus adb drivers, but the Quest in developer mode won't be detected by the PC once plugged in or started up whilst it is plugged in. The Quest seems to need to be plugged in while on, then restarted while still plugged in to be detected. Is this expected and desired behaviour? It creates a few extra minutes of hassle every day when setting the device up for building and testing on from a development PC.2KViews1like7Comments
