Add extra thermal cameras to Quest 3
Hello everyone! I would like to know if it is possible to add extra cameras to the Quest 3 headset. The idea is to add two small thermal cameras to the front of the headset, to obtain a passthrough with night vision. It would be an extra layer of information that helps RGB cameras see in complete darkness. Initially I think of gluing the thermal cameras to the front of the viewfinder, and connecting them by cable to a cell phone, where it obtains electrical power and image processing. Then that image should go from the cell phone to the Quest 3 wirelessly. I was analyzing the documentation, and I think this could be done through the Passthrough.API, Android Camera2.API, your opinion on this would be very useful. I am a person with a visual condition called retinitis pigmentosa, which causes night blindness and decreased peripheral visual field. Therefore, it would be miraculous for me (and for many others), to be able to have night vision, but also assistance for low vision, such as contouring people, objects, steps, obstacles and all kinds of dangers. Thank you very much for your time. And thank you very much to META for giving us this wonderful technology that improves our lives in many ways. And also for opening the passthrough code!! When trying to upload a game to Applab i get an error saying "Android Target SDK version is 34, but should be 32 or lower (targetSdkVersion in AndroidManifest.xml)." im not sure what that means. Does anyone have a solution or can anyone help me?1.4KViews1like3CommentsHow can I get a depth map(or point cloud) just from my quest 3's depth sensor???
I know there is a depth sensor on the quest 3 and I want to use its depth data for further image research, but my MQDH only supports recording video from the binocular camera. 😞 I've checked the documentation for the Depth API, and it seems that the depth information has been encapsulated many times, and I wonder if there is a way to get the depth map or point cloud image directly, thank you very much!!🙏17KViews1like36Commentswindow.requestAnimationFrame not working in newest 33.3 Meta browser in WebXR mode
I used window.requestAnimationFrame inside a WebXR app, which previously work fine in the Meta Browser, but it seems automatically update to 33.3 on June 3rd, and now this function only works when I press the Meta button to pop up the browser but not work at all when I hide the browser and enter the XR mode. Any helps? Maybe I need to change the function? But I don't see an alternative to count frames accurately. Basically I want to have a timeManager that supervise the timing of different assets in the app.908Views1like2CommentsMRUK not found despite it being created...?
I'm currently using Quest 3 v62 (now v63) and Unity 2022.3.10f1. Working on a random spawn mechanic in the MR environment where objects can spawn on the ceiling. The feature worked fine when I tested it on Unity Playtest, but once I built it on the standalone Q3 (or simply hooked it up with a quest link), the scene could no longer be implemented. The room setup does indicate that I have my tables and walls, but there's no ceiling. I presume the Spatial data didn't transfer properly (I did write a script to grant permission to Q3 for spatial data, and clicked the Permission Requests On Startup) I have no idea where it all went south. Any ideas?1.7KViews0likes2CommentsPROCESS_ERROR

In spite of the fact that I have been making efforts to devise a solution, I have not yet made significant progress in this endeavor. In a virtual reality setting (similar to Facebook places), would it be possible for me to physically transfer a file from my computer to a friend's computer and then have him save it to his own computer? This feature is comparable to the photo-sharing options offered by Facebook Spaces; however, it additionally supplies the recipient with the ability to save the file to their own local device. Your point of view is quite important.509Views0likes0Comments2D animations and games with Macromedia/Adobe Flash
I've made 2D animations and games with Macromedia/Adobe Flash for a while, but I'm not experienced with 3D. I want to see if you can make anything Rift-compatible. Flash can be run on any computer, so you don't need a decent one. I don't have my Rift yet, so please try a few things. The bottom left number is meant to be the PD, but it's actually a variable that determines screen object spacing. Then that is divided by a larger variable if it is far away. Do the red ball and mountains appear close or far away? If so, how close and far away? Please tell me your PD and number setting so I can make it more precise. Please let me know if there aren't enough to judge.473Views0likes0CommentsPurchase Failed - This item isn't set for purchases yet.
