When I cast my Meta Quest 3 to my phone with screen ratio 21:9, I see pretty much nothing of what the person is looking at and I constantly tell them to look down. Then I noticed that even when I record the screen or when I take a screenshot, what I see doesn't align with what's recorded. In the video below I trace the edges of my field of view with my finger. As you can see, there is a large portion of the video that I don't see through my headset and a large portion that I see, but it's not being recorded. Combine that with cropping the video to fit a wide-screen phone and what the person looks at is often beneath what's visible.

My headset is not even a week old, its worked fine up until 4 hours ago. I stopped using the headset at 31% battery, on the meta horizon app it states this is the battery as well and was synced 4 hours ago. Since then its been completely bricked. The LED light wont indicate if its charging , the screens dont work at all. And now ive left the glorfied paper weight to charge for more than 2 hours using the cable and adapter the headset came with, nothing. Some other things to note, -Cant access boot menu after holding the volume down and power for over one minute multiple times -tried and tested multiple charging cables, doesn't work -I use no accessories for the headset -LED does not work -Cant be detected on my PC on the meta app Would appreciate any advice on the matter. Thank you!31Views0likes2CommentsRandom pixelated bars when using oculus link
I bought an Oculus Quest 2 about 6 months ago and it has been working fine either standalone or using oculus link (I use a Kiwi Cable for this). I stopped playing it for a little while but for the last 2 weeks or so, randomly a pixelated bar will sometimes show at the top and bottom of the screen, they look really low resolution but the centre of the screen is always perfectly clear. The monitor that mirrors the gameplay has no issues either. Most of the time they go away after a few minutes, but there has been one occasion where the bars seemed to 'grow' over the entire screen and couldn't see until I completely restart the Quest 2. This only happens when using link, not had any issues with standalone games. Has anyone else had this issue or know how to fix it?12KViews2likes27CommentsOculus Rift S has gone green
Hello, I have just restarting playing VR after about a month break and now everything is green in color. I have updated my drivers, reseat the rift S, and reseat the display cable connected to the headset. I don't know what else to try. Thanks in advance!Solved20KViews2likes37CommentsCorner of Meta Quest 3 shows strange colors when in VR preview mode
Upper right corner. It's quite noticeable with the headset on because the edges of my vision become multicolored. This started happening this morning. I'm really not sure why. This only happens in VR preview mode in UE5. I tried it with a sample starter project from oculus-samples github as well, and the same thing happened except the corner was black instead of multi-colored. I don't notice anything when the headset is in standalone mode. I've tried just looking for a messed up corner in Passthrough/First Hand demo/etc, and there's nothing wrong as far as I can tell. Is this something wrong with Quest Link? I've tried it with a different cable and a different port on the computer as well.835Views0likes1CommentNoisy pixelated glitch in the display
Hi. Developing in Unity. When running in standalone Quest 2 I get random pixel glitches mostly at the right display of the Quest2. This is not my capture, but this guy had the same problem and mine looks exactly the same: Streamable Video Quest 2 Standalone Hand tracking Unity 2020.3.26f1 Render pipeline URP. 10.8.1 Oculus XRPlugin 1.11.2 Graphics API GLES 3 The failure is random. Sometimes it is shown, other times it is absent. The optimizations seem to help but do not solve the problem. Tested different scenes, different unity project version, with different shaders and not solved. Just a medium/high demand on the GPU seems to make the glitch to be shown. Tested in 3 different headsets (MQ2) The problem doesn't seem to appear using Link, but I'm not completely sure. It started appearing after updating the MQ2 software. The older version of the software (maybe over a year ago) did not show the glitch. Thank you for any information regarding this.1.2KViews0likes1Comment
