Cant download After the Fall on desktop app
I purchased After the fall in the quest headset and wanted to airlink to my PC for better graphics. I cannot download the program to my PC via the desktop app. Other games are not having this issue it appears to be only "After the Fall". I have opened a ticket (7786734) and there was no solution i was simply told that my RTX4090 was too powerful. Which should in no way keep the oculus app from functioning properly and the fact that other games work this way clearly shows this to be incorrect. I would appreciate any help to resolve this. Also i have already tried the download and repair effort described on another thread. This did not solve the issue.901Views0likes5CommentsMy meta quest app doesn't want to play videos or download them
When trying to play videos on my quest app from the media section, there are two things that happen that prevent me from playing them. 1. The video will be in a force pause loop where everytime I would click play on the video the video would instantly pauses and If I do it again it would pause again and repeat 2. The video won't load what so ever, I have a good internet connect however the video will refuse to load and always either infinitely load or say no internet connection and this is the same way when I'm trying to download media video as well.Solved40KViews6likes44CommentsGames that don't need internet connection
I have a new Quest 2. I can go into work to use the internet connection there to update and download apps and music packs, but once I'm home, I only have DSL internet. So is there a way to search for apps/games/etc to purchase that DON'T require internet use after downloading? I have Beat Saber (which I LOVE) and Panic at the Disco pack. I need MORE things! (BTW: 70 YO, so not so much interested in violence - more interested in hand eye coordination, movements, things of that nature). If you have suggestions, I would welcome those!Solved30KViews1like9CommentsMeta Quest update button not doing anything after PTC V66
Im on ptc v66 and I got the update for the official rollout of v66. When I click update the download progress pops up for a second and goes away. The button to update is greyed out and stuck “updating…” I’ve let it sit for quite a while. Reset several times and nothing. If you leave update and go back it has the option to update now again. Resets do nothingSolved55KViews25likes180CommentsOculus Quest store extremely slow download speed!
I am wondering if there was a reason why it is taking 5+ hours to download a 1Gb game on a 75Mbps Internet connection. I am hoping that because Oculus Quest has sold out and it is christmas day, the Oculus Servers are having a hard time with the large influx of new devices. Unfortunately i feel alienated with that hope because it seems as if i am the only one suffering with this problem. I am concerned to troubleshoot my internet as it would cancel my download wich is at 80% currently, but it works fine on my phone and laptop.Solved122KViews9likes38CommentsDownload Files the Right Way on Android in Unreal Engine
I came across this blog post from Oculus regarding the proper way to request a download from the Android OS. Here is the article: https://developer.oculus.com/blog/tech-note-downloading-data-in-the-background-on-mobile/?locale=ru_RU I'm trying to download video files on a Quest 2 app built in Unreal 4.26 Oculus Integration version but it isn't as simple as just creating a java. There are a few plugins I've looked but have so far failed to fully implement including : https://github.com/gameDNAstudio/MobileUtils and https://github.com/Sovahero/PluginMobileNativeCode I'm having an issue implementing the Java DownloadHelper class since I can't seem to include the DownloadHelper package with these plugins. Has anyone out there tackled this issue the "recommended" way per the article linked? What would be even better is if Oculus could create a post for Unreal the way they did for Unity! Any assistance would be much appreciated!3.4KViews0likes4Commentsthree dots - missing obb patch file?
I keep getting three dots when I download an update from the store. It happens when the download is a partial update, not a full reinstall. I have to uninstall and do a full re-install. Looking at adb logcat, I see that it is not finding an obb patch file: [GameActivity] Checking for file : patch.com.gamecompany.XXXX.obb UE4 : [GameActivity] which is really being resolved to : /storage/emulated/0/Android/obb/com.gamecompany.XXXX/patch.com.gamecompany.XXXX.obb UE4 : Or : /storage/emulated/0/obb/com.gamecompany.XXXX/patch.com.gamecompany.XXXX.obb UE4 : [GameActivity] ... Whoops... missing; go go go download system! What causes that? It's true that if I look at Internal Shared Storage/Android/obb/com.gamecompany.XXXX/, I do not see the obb patch file. I see the main, and the additional overflow obb which is never mentioned in the adb log.1.5KViews1like0CommentsUnable to install Oculus App

I was gifted a Quest 2 on Sunday, and it is now Thursday, so I expect I have a bit of learning to do. I was gifted a couple of games, one of which loaded fine, but the other... I'm trying to download Myst. It's large, and I have pretty slow internet speeds half the time so I am being fairly patient with this, but I have three different file sizes depending on where I look, and the download continues well beyond what any of those three file sizes are. That is, I'm told I should expect between 9.6 and 10.56 gigs to download, then install. The download will continue through to 12 gigs, at which point I end up cancelling because it takes so long without an end in sight, and frankly, I don't particularly want to sit there for another hour waiting. I've tried: Turning wifi off, then on. I did this before and again after a restart as well, and both during a download attempt and before a download attempt. Restarting the Oculus Force-stopping the app, uninstalling the app and reinstalling, re-pairing, and also restarting my phone. The only thing I've not tried at this point is a factory reset, and if I'm having this trouble now, I'm almost afraid to reset and end up with no way to install my existing apps. Any help?Solved2.5KViews0likes2Comments
