Game is getting around 3 to 1 hacked copies vs legit sold. Need help with better authentication
After searching, our game has a torrent with the most recent version out (as well as previous versions). It's disheartening to see that recently we had a huge spike in daily active users over 3 days, with only a fraction of actual sales reported from Meta. Third party analytics and Meta analytics both show many users, but few sales. We have typical entitlement checks set up on app start and on scene loads. These seem to have been circumvented in the hacked apk. Fusion server checks show no new users accessing Multiplayer functionality over this period of time, so it doesn't look like hackers are accessing multiplayer mode, which users connect to after the initial start up of the game in a separate mode. Any thoughts on a more robust solution for entitlement hacks in single player mode? Is there a solution that others are using that is more fool proof? Our game can be found here: https://www.meta.com/en-gb/experiences/on-target-vr-darts/4034169883289562/ Thank you in advance for any suggestions.445Views0likes0Commentswill owned SKUs stay purchased after a subscription ends?
Hey there! context: we are currently preparing to launch a subscription for our game. We already have a bunch of DLC / Add-Ons available as durable one time purchase items. The subscription will be an alternative way to unlock access to the entire library of add-ons. We will still continue to offer single purchases though. Question: We wanted to double check the following behaviour: if a user purchases and owns an Add-On SKU, then subscribes to get access to the rest of the Add-Ons and then at some point cancels the subscription again, will they still own the initially purchased Add-On? This seems like pretty straight forward, expected behaviour, however when querying some of the SDK functions to get the purchases even SKUs that were purchased regularly suddenly had an expiration date assigned to them. We just want to make sure players don't lose access to purchased Add-Ons / SKUs when the subscription ends as this is something we can't easily test with test users (would have to wait until the end of the subscription period...) Hi all, I uploaded my build for Alpha testing so I can test myself how the app looks. As soon as I open the app I get the message saying that I'm not logged in to my Oculus account and that I must be in order to use the app. (The Entitlement Check). I am forced to quit the app as a result. Thing is, that I believe I am logged in. Under the Oculus Menu bar I see my avatar and it says my username, the Oculus app on my phone is also logged in fine and paired with my Oculus Go. Am I missing an important step here to being logged in? Thanks493Views0likes1Comment
