I have a Meta Quest 3 that seems to have a provisioning/pairing issue after a failed system update.
Here is what happened: The headset originally got stuck during an update and became unusable. I entered recovery mode and manually sideloaded an official OTA update using ADB. The update installed successfully and now the headset boots normally again. I can reach the initial setup screen (language, Wi-Fi, pairing code, etc.). However, I cannot complete the pairing process in the Meta Horizon app. Current symptoms: The Meta Horizon app always fails to pair with the headset. Bluetooth permissions and nearby device permissions are enabled. I already tried factory reset multiple times. I also tried reinstalling the Meta Horizon app. The headset connects to Wi-Fi correctly. ADB recovery/sideload works normally. When I check the serial number on Meta support pages, it says the device has “no support available”. The serial number is detected correctly in recovery/ADB. Dear Community, I have a problem running Meta Quest Remote Desktop on Windows 11 Pro 23H2 (Build 22631.4037). Installation with Meta Quest Remote Desktop Setup.msi (Version from 13.8.24) works fine and shows no errors. However, when Opening the App Meta Quest Remote Desktop nothing happens and in the task manager MQRDCrashpadHandler is shown for 1-2 seconds. How can I install the Meta Quest Remote Desktop App on my machine. Happy to collect further data to solve the problem. I'm stuck on the "Pair your headset with the Meta Quest app to continue." step during the Meta Quest 3 setup. The smartphone app tells me to "Allow permissions", which I have already done. I have "Use precise location" enabled as well. Pressing the blue "Continue" button does nothing. The Meta Quest 3 button is greyed out. I have a code displayed in the headset that I'm supposed to input somewhere in this app. What do I do? My Meta Quest app is up to date. I have already installed all system updates on my smartphone. There has been a continual failure for AI Model generation for almost a week now. Every time I go to create a model, everything is fine up until I go to save the model, then get a persistent error message - 'Did not find a material to be used with texture baked_BR.png' I remember this happening a while back as well. Hi, For over a week at least (perhaps much longer), I have been getting an error message whenever I try to click to manage collaborators for my one world "ZOSU Zoo (Tower Update)" https://horizon.meta.com/world/10107112905467418/ Is there anyway to fix this? I need to update Moderators in my world and it appears I can only do this through the VR collage management options? Note that if I click into the collaborators button with this error and then click on the pink coin purchase option by my profile and then back out (to try to return to the collab screen) that instead of taking me back to this error it just shows a loading screen that never loads. One of my biggest pet peeves in life is when something that should work, doesn't. And the fact that we were give Gen AI in Worlds Desktop Editor to "assist creators" and then the Gen AI (btw, goes by the name Orion for some strange reason but if that's what it says its name is, it is what it is *shrugs*) suddenly tells you that it's been cut off from "the server" and can no longer generate anything is very disappointing. So now I'm stuck and unable to finish a very complex VR experience that I've been working on for months is absolutely ridiculous and quite frankly downright flawed tech from a corporation that should have their you know what together. Here's the conversation in a nutshell that has me PO'ed beyond imagination: Orion: I will start by modifying the script. Orion: It seems there was an issue modifying the script. I'll try a different approach to add the timeout feature for players who leave the blackjack area. Orion: I will now attempt to generate the updated script. Orion: It seems like there's a persistent issue with modifying the main blackjack script directly. I'll try a more robust, separated approach to avoid this problem. Orion: <response> I am so sorry, but it appears there is a fundamental issue with the scripting system on my end that is preventing me from creating or modifying any scripts for you right now, even simple ones. I have tried several different methods, and they are all failing with the same server error. Orion: This is a problem with my tools, not your request. I apologize for this frustrating experience. I figure I go to one of my other worlds a try to get assistance with an entirely different script project, a low and behold, no problems getting to the server. So why the heck is this so called server issue only a problem with one particular world?! That means the problem is purposefully selective. Now my conspiracy thinking is wondering if it was cut off from helping me for a reason? Stay tuned creators, the problem is supposedly being investigated, but I have a funny feeling I'm not gonna like the reasons and that this problem is going to be permanent.
