Forced to have horizons, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram. Intolerable
I have a Quest 3, and I think it will be the last meta hardware I buy in the future. It's unacceptable that they force us to use HORIZONS, and that we can't uninstall WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook (they reinstall themselves when I turn on the headset). It's unacceptable that they do this.
Verification
In order to create a "Dev account" you have 2 ways to verify yourself. 1. Credit Card 2. Phone number. If you click on "Add" for phone number it takes you to your Facebook Account under Mobile Settings (In which I already have a phone number listed there). And at that point there is nothing to confirm or click on or do. So how do you verify with your phone number that's already listed there??
Meta account hacked and disconnected from my Facebook account. Help needed
On December 29, 2025 I received an email stating that my account had an email added to my contact information. I was waking up in the morning and was an action I did not trigger, so I inmediately logged in to remove it and change my password. I was not quick enough to log in, navigate the facebook menus and find the email to remove it (the emails with the meta codes was me attempting to log in). This change was followed with four unauthorized Meta Horizon (Oculus) transactions for the quantity of $330.28 on my linked paypal account. I then proceeded to change my password and unlink my paypal account from Meta to stop the bleeding. After that, when I logged into my Oculus headset, a message appeared saying "Removing all files" and my Oculus Meta Horizon account was gone. Now I cannot cancel the transactions as I no longer have access to the accounts "transactions" in order to cancel or report fraud on them. (Emails in order as received on December 29). I still have access to my Meta account (Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram) but no longer have access to either my Oculus content or the Oculus account. Is there a mechanism to recover it? I attempted the "facebook.com/hacked" but the AI only helps me contantly change my password and thats about it. Was hoping I can get some guidance to both recover my Oculus Horizon content and get help cancelling the unauthorized transactions. Thanks in advance for the help! A.Rosado
How to get a real person
I've spent nearly 2 hrs trying to set up my daughter's quest, which she has had for over a year now. As much as this headset costs, and how 'big' of a name 'meta' is, I'm not understanding why this needs to be so complicated. I set it up previously, and the account was scheduled for deletion, and meta/fb is getting my accounts mixed up and now I can't access my secondary account. All the issues I'm having are complex within themselves, and I'm sick of trying to figure it out. ISSUE # 1 Meta allowed me to create an account under the email I want to use (lets call it secondary), but when I try to log into facebook with that email it's saying there's no account associated with that email. I've had this fb account for years, the image on meta is what my profile picture is ( a picture of my daughter as a baby nearly 10yrs ago smh). Facebook wouldn't allow me to delete this account (years ago) so it's just been there for years not getting used. ISSUE # 2 Diving deeper into issue: I have a facebook account, let's refer to it as my primary acct. this account holds ALL of my business assets and my personal account, business pages, ect. It is tied to an email I no longer have access to, and facebook won't let me delete it. I just added the secondary email I want to use, and it allowed me to. ISSUE # 3 Now, when I used the secondary email to create meta account (the new one), I thought it would be for log in purposes only. For reference> ladyscarface.... is the acct that I initially set up on the quest when my daughter got it whenever that was over a yr ago... i thought it got deleted, as i saw in old email that it said I had until march of 2024 to resolve it. it's still there, and it is attached to my primary fb acct. So when I used to secondary email it was tangled up between the two facebook accts. so now, the new meta acct I have created (not ladyscarface), is attached to the fb acct I can't access all of a sudden, and ladyscarface is still attached to my primary fb acct. ISSUE # 4 I want the new acct. to be attached to my primary fb acct. when I am in the meta app and it says I need to complete my profile (it asks for first, last name, and email) it won't let me move forward as it keeps saying that I need to delete an acct from accounts center, but it won't let me. it does this for both the new acct I created today, and the old one (ladyscarface) there are SEVERAL other issues, and I'm sick of googling, reading articles that don't fix or describe my issue. I need to speak to a real person to fix my facebook accounts, this meta horizon non-sense, and email issues. I need the email used for my primary acct removed permanently and deleted (since I no longer have access to it), I need secondary fb acct deleted, so I can use the secondary email as my primary email/login, and to hopefully fix ALL the issues I'm having with setting up this acct. I'd also like to file a grievance because REAL help from a live real person should be readily available.
Multiple developers with one Quest 2 device
Hi, Is there a way to have multiple developers develop with my boss' Oculus Quest 2? I don't want to keep using his personal Facebook details to log in for them to be able to develop, build, run and test. If I create test users from the developer dashboard, do they have any restrictions in terms of accessing data and building to the Quest 2?How to fix or pass the facebook login screen Check your notifications on another device ?
The problem is that by mistake i logged out all my facebook accounts from all other devices. from my phone mobile and from the laptop and after formatted my pc i can't log in anymore my facebook account. i also tried the other way "Try another way" but this might take days even months and so far no one helped or answered me. is there any way to bypass this problem ? my account was not locked for any reason , i just formatted my pc and since then i can't log in to my facebook account because it need my notification check on other device/s. my facebook account is: [mod edit: personal details removed] thank you.
