Many Meta Quest 3 owners are experiencing the same serious issue after what appears to be a faulty firmware update. The headset starts normally, shows the Meta logo, then displays the down-arrow firmware symbol as if it’s updating. After that, the screen goes completely black and never turns back on. This problem has affected hundreds of users across multiple platforms, including Meta’s own community forums, Reddit, and Discord groups. Everyone describes the same sequence: Meta logo, firmware arrow loading, then a permanent black screen. People have already tried every official fix that Meta recommends: Rebooting the headset. Performing a full hard reset using the power and volume buttons. Installing the manual firmware update through the Meta update tool on a computer. Even after completing all of these steps successfully, the headset remains unusable. The issue clearly points to a defective firmware update or a corrupted boot process caused by the update itself, not user error or damage. Some customers have received replacements, while others have been denied support because their device is out of warranty. That inconsistency is unacceptable. A firmware defect that originates from Meta should not depend on warranty status. This needs to be recognized as a widespread product issue. Meta should take responsibility, publicly acknowledge the problem, and provide free repairs or replacements to all affected customers. Everyone affected should post here and share: When the problem started and what update version it followed. Any videos or photos showing the black screen sequence. What Meta Support said or offered in response. If enough reports are collected, this could draw the attention of consumer protection agencies, the media, or legal firms willing to pursue a class action. The goal is not to complain, but to get a fair solution for everyone who has been left with a bricked headset due to a faulty update. This issue is not isolated. It’s widespread, and it needs to be addressed now.550Views3likes7CommentsI need to get my headset unlocked
So, my quest 3 is locked out, I don’t know the password and can’t access the headset settings. Another problem is that I don’t have cloud backup setup. I don’t want to do a factory reset because a lot of my important data is on there (such as money based in-game purchases and games that cost money) does anyone know a way to solve this problem without me losing my important data?Solved32Views0likes3CommentsVrchat crashing saying I have no memory when I have plenty.
My vrchat has been crashing a lot recently saying I have no memory for the game when I have over 200GB free of storage. I've restarted the headset fully, cleared all cache in the game and nothing has worked, I really don't wanna have to factory reset it just yet incase there is another way I can fix it. Does anyone have any suggestions?22KViews0likes24CommentsMeta Quest 2 Black screen after Boot logo finish. Tried Factory Reset. Didn't Fixed it.
Hello Team, I am writing to report a critical issue with my Meta Quest 2. The Issue: When I power on the device, the Meta/Oculus boot logo appears as normal. However, once the logo fades, the screen goes completely black. The backlight is on (the screen is glowing black, not off), but no menus, guardian, or controllers appear. After a short time it goes in Standby despite the headset still being worn. The headset plays the startup sound, with the logo but there is no visual output afterwards. Steps Attempted: I have already attempted a "Hard Factory Reset" via the bootloader menu (Power + Volume Down). The reset process completed successfully, but after rebooting, the device returned to the same black screen state. Thanks in advance187Views1like5CommentsBanned account can’t unlink profile

Aiuto per favore :( Modello occhiali rayban meta gen 211Views0likes0CommentsScreen Lock Pattern changed with v81 update and broke lock pattern
Upon opening my Quest 3 this evening, I was prompted to create a screen lock, and I used the pattern lock, which presented me with a square grid of 9 dots. I entered a pattern, and then regretted it, and could not find where to reset the pattern. Right after that, the v81 update installed, rebooted the headset, and I was prompted to enter my pattern to unlock, but the grid was NOT the 3x3 square grid, but rather a rhomboid pattern with three dots in the top row, two in the center row, three in the bottom row, and no center dot. My lock pattern uses the center dot, and no matter how I try to match the simple pattern I used, nothing matches. I cannot use my phone app to unlock the Quest 3, I cannot get past the lock screen in the Quest 3, and I am told that there is no solution other than a factory reset.460Views2likes12CommentsMeta account suspended
Hello I purchased the Meta Horizon 3S and used my Facebook account to create the Oculus account and register ownership of the VR unit. For some reason my age wasn't validated during this process (I'm 47!) and because I don't monitor the email address linked to my Facebook account I didn't see the warnings. This morning my Facebook and Oculus account were suspended and I am told I have 90 days to appeal the suspension. When I go to the Help Centre on this issue it says to appeal the suspension I have to log into my Facebook account and request an appeal, but when I log in there is no option to appeal. The only option available is to download my Facebook file. How do I appeal this suspension, verify my age and get my Meta accounts back?465Views0likes3Comments
