I recently bought the Meta glasses from Florida USA, but I am unable to use the most optimal feature or prompts like “Hey Meta , Whats in front of me”. I am flying in and out of the country often too. The error command i hear is that its not available in your region . I've had the Meta Glasses Gen 1 Wayfarers for some time now, and I plan to get new ones soon, but I was curious because they fail to store memories on the app anymore for more relevant conversation and help, did Meta remove this? I live in Maryland, and the glasses used to be able to do this. For example I'd like it to remember nicknames or facts about me and whatnot. Upon Googling, it said it was a connectivity issue, but I've powered them off and back on, reconnected, and even factory reset them. Nothing seems to work, and when I ask it to remember something it says, "I will remember that for this conversation." I owned a pair of Ray-ban Meta AI gen 1 before, I travelled to Asia for a couple weeks. When I'm back the Meta AI not working no more. Recently, I just got Gen 2, I tested and same issues happens to me. I asked one of my friend add a device under their accounts instead to see if it works and it did. I got my Gen 1 glasses a few weeks ago. For context, I am a rural physician and originally bought them so that I could visually communicate with specialists during an emergency (and still provide hands on care). Unfortunately, when I use the glasses for hands free talking, it keeps dropping my voice. I was doing a dictation at work and when I listened back to it, the voice drop out was significant. At first I thought it might relate to a setting that automatically adjusts for background noise. So I repeated part of the dictation with my colleagues remaining silent. Still dropped out. It happened again when I called into my ER. This is a significant flaw, especially when “hands free” is a key selling point. It’s frustrating enough that these glasses don’t communicate properly with iPhones, especially in my line of work. Gen 1 Meta Ray-Bans on Android (OnePlus Open) Recently, I've been getting some wrong battery readings on my glasses. I'll charge them up and put them on, then shortly after, I'll try a "look and" or "hey meta take a video" and I'll get "Low battery. Charge your glasses and try again." But when I ask how much battery, it will always say 100% (even after wearing them for a few hours with photos, videos, and music.) The app will also show 100%. It's weird as I'm only getting this with this pair of wayfarers. I have a pair of limited edition wayfarers that work perfectly in this regard, but I have uninstalled and reinstalled as well.
