Uncertain Graphics Card Compatibility
Just upgraded from an old sluggish laptop with a Intel UHD Graphics 620 graphics card to a i7 Dell Laptop, purely with the intention to get a much better gaming experience in VR. But, only to discover that the Nvidia Quadro T2000 GPU, is not compatible with the air link. With it working on my last I assumed it would work with this. I've seen suggestions that Quadro T2000 isn't a high enough spec, but how is true if it can run on other lower spec GPU's and other Nvidia GPU similar to the T2000? Meta only state a hand full of compatible GPU's on their website, making it impossible to know what other GPU's are compatible. This is meant to be a user-friendly experience for almost everyone, I shouldn't be gambling on whether I can connect to airlink.660Views0likes0CommentsTrouble setting up the Oculus for Windows App

Hi there, We got some feedback requiring our Unity game to perform at 90 fps on Rift and 80 fps on Rift S; is it required to perform at this level for all quality settings? The graphics options in the game enable to player to choose between different graphical qualities (from low to ultra) and can toggle various camera effects (anti-aliasing, bloom, SSAO, etc.). So do we need to ensure that a solid 90/80fps framerate for both the lowest possible quality settings as well as for the highest possible quality settings? Also regarding the recommended PC specs, it mentioned it needs to be a solid framerate for an AMD 290/GTX 970; how can we ensure this without having these specific PC parts as we are just a small indie company? Do we just need to buy these and test on them? Or can we just change these recommended specs to some more powerful GPUs (e.g. GTX 1070) or is that too high to recommend for an Oculus Store App? And again, is performance to be measured on the lowest/highest quality settings? Any help is appreciated!795Views0likes0CommentsTrying my OQ2 on my laptop before getting a machine I get GC and USB errors.
The first error I get is that the system does not meet the requirements, although the graphic card meets the minimum reqs and everything is way more than the minimum requirements. Secondly, I get a USB 3 error even if my windows machine tells me I have USB 3 on the ports my headset tells me it is 2.0. How can I fix these errors?1.2KViews0likes7CommentsCan I select which GPU to use?
Hello, I am Richy. I own the Oculus Rift S, and I have a question. So, my desktop has 2 graphic cards; a AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB and also a NVIDIA GeForce GT 220. I mainly use my RX 580 for graphic intensive processes like gaming and etcetera, but I use the GT 220 for my other monitor which is just for notes and other small stuff. Whenever I launch the oculus app, The oculus app thinks that I will be using the GT 220 to connect my Rift S. I looked around in settings, and couldn't really find anything to solve this, which basically forced me to take out my GT 220 every time I want to play VR. If the answer to this would be something like "use the gt 220", I can't use the GT 220, because it has no DisplayPort and isn't powerful enough to handle a VR headset. If there is a possible way to select the graphics card to use, can someone please tell me. Thanks3.1KViews0likes4CommentsBuying a compatible PC for Oculus Quest link

1. So when I turn on my rift s I get audio and the display is on but the display is rotated to the walls of the lenses and I haven't found a way to fix it. 2. When I go to my rift s on the oculus app it says that I need a firmware update, from version 1.1.9 to 1.6.7 but I have updated my USB drivers and my Geforce drivers plus it says there is no DisplayPort connection and I have restarted my computer 5 times, unplugged it from my laptop, adapter and rift s and nothing. 3.On the compatibilty check app for oculus devices it says that my graphics card does not meet the requirements but on their website it says that the minimum for the graphics card is the Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 TI which is what I have as my dedicated graphics card. 4.My laptops specs- Graphics card- Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 TI Processor- Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20Hz 2.21GHz Memory- 16GB of Ram OS- Windows 10 64-bit USB- USB 3.0 ports If anyone can help me with these problems please comment down below, Thank you.719Views0likes1Comment
