I currently Work at Microsoft Technology Center trying to gain knowledge on the possibilities so feel free to inform or suggest ideas about anything occulus that doesn't involve gaming. Hello all! I'll get right to the chase. We are a group of students who want to have access to an Oculus Rift to complete a research paper & research project on VR. Our idea is to assimilate VR into MODIHC(Model for Designing the Human Computer Interaction) and develop a virtual campus that people can download on the homepage to learn about the campus before enrolling/visiting/etc. We're from the University of Puerto Rico - Mayagüez Campus, UPRM for short. Our team consists of three members: Joseph Gonzalez, Peggy Gonzalez, and Alfredo Pomales III. Since we saw a tab for Research on the Oculus Homepage we decided to see if maybe we can reach some sort of collaboration. We do not, unfortunately, have the means (financially) to purchase an Oculus Rift. We have the time, knowledge of Unity and Unreal Engine, and the community to produce a paper/project of the utmost quality. What we still do not have is the actual device. If anybody knows of any help/programs/etc. or contacts that we might be able to reach out to so that we could acquire one via an alternative means, would be much appreciated. We look forward to a possible collaboration! Thanks for reading! Regards, Alfredo Pomales III.711Views0likes0Comments
