Meta Quest 3S will not charge
Hi, I have seen other posts regarding this issue and I have tried the Power button and volume down button for 30s+, nothing happens. I have tried contacting support, but even though in the Meta Horizons app, the MetaQuest3S shows up in my devices, it does not in the browser, and when I give the ChatBot my SN, it says it cannot be verified, and I did triple check, and I checked the SN in the app on the device and am using that same one. So, since i purchased it from BestBuy in June and not through MetaStore, the bot is blocking me from contacting support, and the device will not sync between the app and the website. I have tried 5, known/verified working chargers, and nothing happens. I left it charging for 48 hours to be completely sure, and nothing. No LEDs, no sound, nothing. Hi guys, I bought my first Quest 3 today. When I turned it on, it started a software update but it gets stuck there — the device keeps turning on and off without completing the update, and I can’t get past that screen. I haven’t even set up my Meta Horizon account yet, and since I didn’t purchase my Quest 3 through the official Meta store, when I try to enter my device’s serial number on the website it gives me an error. I tried doing the sideload update (the only fix I found on the internet) by holding the volume down and power buttons on the Quest 3. But when I select my device in the browser, I get a message saying: “your device is not supported, please try reconnecting your devices.” Weird cause both my PC and Chrome are detecting it as Quest 3. I also tried disabling adblock, deleting caché and cookies, incognito mode, other browsers, other PCs, other cables, connecting it on different times, etc. There is not a single thing I haven't tried. (Every single one of these attempts were done while having 50% battery. There’s nothing else I can do, literally — I’ve already tried factory reset several times as well. Do I need to return my device? I'm submitting this post so support can help me. encountered a problem where the bootloader on my Quest 3 became damaged and unusable. It's now completely unsigned and won't even allow the system to boot. I'm begging the Meta developers to create an executable module that, when connected via ADB, would allow for updating not only the system but also the bootloader itself. This will help many people experiencing gray screens and other issues. Hello all. A few months ago after an update, My Quest 2 bricked. After going through trouble shooting and all the fixes available to me I sought help from support. A team member told me it was grounds for replacement, and we initiated that process. I followed the instructions, and sent in my faulty console. On June 24 I got an email saying I should have my new one in 5-7 days. Two weeks after that email, I still received nothing. I contacted support, who then realised there was an issue and promised to escalate it, saying I would receive an update shortly. No update. Since then I have been regularly contacting meta to ask 1) what went wrong, 2) expected timeline of replacement, and 3) why their internal investigation means I can't get the new console I am owed since they took my old one. Every time I get the work around saying it's being investigated, they can't do anything, with no one addressing my core concerns. They will not provide details, nor additional provide additional contacts to me for escalation purposes. I have managed to get someone to tell me that apparently it was shipped to the wrong address, and they won't give me a new console until the previous one has been recovered. The length of time it's taking and the obscure communication style are not in accordance with Australian consumer law, and have been incredibly frustrating. Multiple team members have acknowledged these facts, yet nothing new is happening as far as I can see. Do any of you have a story such as mine that had a successful resolution? Or any contact method to talk to someone at meta who can actually help me? I feel ignored and bullied, since meta has the power to issue me a new console, but are refusing until they complete their own investigation. This should not impact me as the consumer (as per my rights) and it seems as if they are just hoping I will go away. I have done nothing wrong and have gone from having a faulty product, to no product at all, with no clear information as to why. I've spent nearly 2 hrs trying to set up my daughter's quest, which she has had for over a year now. As much as this headset costs, and how 'big' of a name 'meta' is, I'm not understanding why this needs to be so complicated. I set it up previously, and the account was scheduled for deletion, and meta/fb is getting my accounts mixed up and now I can't access my secondary account. All the issues I'm having are complex within themselves, and I'm sick of trying to figure it out. ISSUE # 1 Meta allowed me to create an account under the email I want to use (lets call it secondary), but when I try to log into facebook with that email it's saying there's no account associated with that email. I've had this fb account for years, the image on meta is what my profile picture is ( a picture of my daughter as a baby nearly 10yrs ago smh). Facebook wouldn't allow me to delete this account (years ago) so it's just been there for years not getting used. ISSUE # 2 Diving deeper into issue: I have a facebook account, let's refer to it as my primary acct. this account holds ALL of my business assets and my personal account, business pages, ect. It is tied to an email I no longer have access to, and facebook won't let me delete it. I just added the secondary email I want to use, and it allowed me to. ISSUE # 3 Now, when I used the secondary email to create meta account (the new one), I thought it would be for log in purposes only. For reference> ladyscarface.... is the acct that I initially set up on the quest when my daughter got it whenever that was over a yr ago... i thought it got deleted, as i saw in old email that it said I had until march of 2024 to resolve it. it's still there, and it is attached to my primary fb acct. So when I used to secondary email it was tangled up between the two facebook accts. so now, the new meta acct I have created (not ladyscarface), is attached to the fb acct I can't access all of a sudden, and ladyscarface is still attached to my primary fb acct. ISSUE # 4 I want the new acct. to be attached to my primary fb acct. when I am in the meta app and it says I need to complete my profile (it asks for first, last name, and email) it won't let me move forward as it keeps saying that I need to delete an acct from accounts center, but it won't let me. it does this for both the new acct I created today, and the old one (ladyscarface) there are SEVERAL other issues, and I'm sick of googling, reading articles that don't fix or describe my issue. I need to speak to a real person to fix my facebook accounts, this meta horizon non-sense, and email issues. I need the email used for my primary acct removed permanently and deleted (since I no longer have access to it), I need secondary fb acct deleted, so I can use the secondary email as my primary email/login, and to hopefully fix ALL the issues I'm having with setting up this acct. This is tricky to explain, but here it goes. my left quest 3 controller was registering movement up and to the left. No matter what i did, any game i played would move me forward and left (NNW) at full speed. So, I figured the controller had broke. No biggie, I'll order a new one. As soon as I place the order, I remember I can switch my movement to the right stick so at least I can play certain games with little to no issue! So I do that. Now my right controller controller movement. Aaaand my right controller says forward movement to the left. My controllers are apparently fine? And its my headset that's bugging and registering movement from the controllers that isn't there. Because when I switch movement from one stick to another, the other controller stops registering any input when not used. Hope this makes sense, also help? Hi, I really hope I can get some answers, as this has been going on since January and its very stressful. Doss anyone know how to report a fake meta horizon account? I was hacked months ago and I am having no luck keeping my instagram account after verifying through video confirmation, due to the hack that the hackers have set up a fake Meta horizon account with 2FA which i cannot deleted from account centre. Which means... anytime I get my account back, they just hack straight back into it through this fake meta account. I have screenshot to prove all of this. How can I get this fake Meta account removed so that I can fully recover my Instagram? This whole process has been so stressful and im finding that no one is around to help. Hello, I have a quest one that's kinda new, recently I did a factory reset and tried to set it up, after I finished the set up on my phone my quest is stuck, doesn't log into my meta account, just stuck on the setup page, and I actually mean it, it's not frozen just stuck...it says "1 out of 2 updates completed, please finish the set up in the meta app" even though it's already finished, someone please tell me if there's an fix for that, because I really want to use my headset again.. I've tried everything and my hope was lost, so this is my only option. I've tried to factory reset it again multiple times and it indeed did factory reset, just after the set up in the meta phone app it's stuck there...everytime... I've read many articles, posts, and websites about this issue. Everything says to "set OVRServer_x64 to Power Saving mode." I've done that multiple times. I've also re-installed the Oculus app, twice. I've re-downloaded all my NVIDIA and AMD drivers. I have no clue what to do. Quest link worked a week ago, now it doesn't. I can add desktop panels, and use them, but I can't see my desktop.
