LZR[X] - Beta (Rocket League-like)
Hi all, I am building my first game, LZR[X} (pronounced LaserCrosse) on MHW and getting to grips with TypeScript, the API and development platform. Really loving it and the constraints that come with it (even the materials process) I am working towards an MVP and hoping to scale up to something akin to Rocket League. The premise is ice-hockey meets pinball with lasers in a Tron-like setting. The frame rate is being tested and the physics need some polish but it's up to a point where I am happy with making it public. I'd love some feedback. There's lot's to work on, but it's very much a project I'm keen to keep refining and growing. So very early days right now. You can check it out in the link below and hopefully I'll have some time to get some footage and screenshots together when I can round up some mates to help out. https://horizon.meta.com/world/1943738609728861/ or join the current event https://horizon.meta.com/event/24349525768011323/ If you want to keep in touch on LinkedIn, feel free to send me a connect request https://www.linkedin.com/in/sean-graham-7614bb82/21Views0likes1CommentBeginner, first world that presents me (Astrophotographs and lunar experience) !
Hello everyone, About three months ago, I purchased a Quest 3 headset. The desire to create worlds quickly emerged. I practice astrophotography (capturing galaxies, nebulae, etc.). So, I "built" a small gallery to showcase my work. But I felt it wasn't enough. So, along with the photo exhibition, I created a small attraction (the Moon Experience) that's a sort of tribute to the Apollo missions and the lunar landing. I hope you enjoy it, and please bear with me; I've only been creating for a short time. Every year, I plan to release something creative for Easter. I've launched a mobile app to do Scrapbooking (not live anymore), and did an app to paint a 3d egg (web, social). We were working as a team on the other battle project, but it was hard to work at the same time in one world, and it was Easter, so we split forces a bit, and worked on both. Initially, I wanted to do some active Easter fun + painting, but in the end we decided to concentrate on the painting part. I personally do love painting miniatures and do love snow globes, so the goal was clear. I was trying to achieve proper control of the brush for every platform. And I hope I did well. The idea of focused control came on the day before the last day of the competition. https://devpost.com/software/easter-fest https://horizon.meta.com/world/3043638249119872/?hwsh=IlaU223Gdo&locale=en_US So, please check my world and give some feedback on the brush control. It should work in a "natural" way. You can touch the objects directly or shoot at them. If you want to try the Focused mode, go up to the Terrace (on the right of the entrance). P.S. Thank you all for the live sessions and tutorials, they inspired me every time. After the Masked flowers session, I've added a watering activity, etc 😎320Views2likes2CommentsgrowHomes - farmville-esque virtual real estate in Shireville

I'm Aisjam, and I'm looking forward to be part of the Creator Program. Thank you for having me. I've spent the last decade working in immersive technologies, mostly with Unity, and I've recently been exploring what’s possible in Horizon Worlds. I’ve been doing a few experiments and wanted to share one that combines psychological worldbuilding with large-scale testing. https://horizon.meta.com/world/9726743030747447 This world is inspired by real-world research from Sandia National Laboratories, where scientists explored how to deter future civilisations from approaching nuclear waste sites. Their solution wasn’t based on language but on shapes, materials, and emotional cues that create an atmosphere of dread and unease. So I built a massive, ominous environment, a 4km diameter circular map. Using a fully custom mesh to simulate that experience. It’s designed to feel wrong, empty, and imposing, without needing to explain itself. A few things I learned along the way: Tiling textures on large polygons fade or break down visually during the experience, so texture scaling and optimisation are crucial. The platform handles large spaces fairly well, though optimisation becomes increasingly important at this scale. I'm really happy with how the sense of scale and isolation came through, especially at the centrepiece. I also plan to bring in some of my synthesizer soundscapes to deepen the experience. Found its a struggle to import audio loops so did some sample stretching with the default ones. I've been creating ambient and atmospheric sounds that would fit perfectly in these types of speculative or unsettling environments so we will see what the future holds for sound on meta horizons. The world is now live if you’d like to check it out. I’d love any feedback, especially from those interested in, environmental storytelling, or experimental space design. Looking forward to connecting with you all and sharing more creative ideas!431Views13likes1CommentCity Of Atem Horizon Worlds

I recently joined and have finished my first version of ZOSU Zoo in a few days with maybe 30-40 animals. I found the Desktop Editor fairly intuitive and the AI helped greatly with coding! https://horizon.meta.com/world/10107112905467418 Pros: I was just doing this for fun to try to make a cross-play mobile and VR Zoo with in-app purchases and was surprised how well it was all setup, especially since I don't know TypeScript, didn't do any of the tutorials (used a template as a starting point) , and I couldn't seem to find a full coding guide but TypeScript in the AI was able to do the job. This was setup well for rapid testing and multi-player, something that is much harder in the normal VR apps to make! Challenges: I had the hardest time setting up in-app-purchase to make a permanent boost jump with coding, could not upload rigged models and had to manually edit or chop up models, slow to upload models as I had to track down and rename textures to add to them, no materials so had to edit most textures before uploading, and I never could figure out all of the multiplayer testing features before making the app visible. I also had to reduce complexity because I hit the memory target cap and could not figure out how to add my own sky box, also the lighting was a little funny. Next Steps: expand the world, add quests and gameplay objectives (right now just look at or carry around animals).267Views11likes1CommentProject 7 is public
"Project 7" is my first build using elements of Blender, TypeScript, and a Truck Load of 'Can Do' excitement. I'm hoping to get some good feedback as I intend to continue with this idea. Setting realistic goals is something I could use guidance with in all matters of Creating. Feel free to interrupt me in VR anytime. I'd love to talk with some of you directly anyway. Besides, it's faster and easier than typing. heh Thanks in advance for your time and thoughts. T00NAH643Views19likes7Comments
