Meta Horizon Link on Windows 11 slows down upload and download speed of computer
When I run Meta Horizon Link on my computer, my internet connection slows down significantly without connecting to the headset. When I try using Air Link on my Meta Quest 3, it only displays the logo and three dots without progressing further. As shown in the screenshot, my network speed is around 900+ Mbps, but once I open Horizon Link, the speed drops drastically, as seen in the second screenshot. Has anyone encounter this?Solved140Views0likes4CommentsCan't connect to the internet despite putting the correct password
My meta quest 2 for some reason does not connect to my internet despite typing in the correct password. I later changed the internet's name, which also for some reason never changed in my VR headset, I also tried a factory reset to see if it works but to no avail.16Views0likes1CommentMeta Quest 2, Connected to device, Can't provide internet
Ive had my meta quest 2 for over a year and this isn't the 1st time it has happened, this is like the 5th time it has happened and its getting on my nerves, meta quest support isnt helping, Google isnt helping and the issue isnt my internet or router because it works perfectly fine with everything else. Its happened 5 Times and each time I couldn't fix it, I would just have to wait it out which is usually 2-4 months just so it can fix itself, I don't want to keep waiting I want to fix the issue, someone anyone please. Its getting on my nerves. And no the simple issues like "Restart your Internet Router" Or "Reboot your Meta Quest" aren't working23Views1like1CommentQuest 3 refuses to connect to profile via Starlink
Every day for the last week I have constantly had to reboot and reboot my Starlink to get Meta's dreadful profile system to connect via my Starlink Internet connection. As usual, everything else works fine - all computers, consoles etc., just Meta's awful profile system cannot seem to handle Starlink. This has got noticeably worse over the last week. Are Meta going to join the rest of the universe and allow users to connect to their profiles and play the games they have bought? Or should I be asking for a refund due to the obvious ineptitude of Meta's programmers? Satellite Internet usage is growing, not decreasing, when is there going to be a fix for this?77Views0likes2CommentsGames that don't need internet connection
I have a new Quest 2. I can go into work to use the internet connection there to update and download apps and music packs, but once I'm home, I only have DSL internet. So is there a way to search for apps/games/etc to purchase that DON'T require internet use after downloading? I have Beat Saber (which I LOVE) and Panic at the Disco pack. I need MORE things! (BTW: 70 YO, so not so much interested in violence - more interested in hand eye coordination, movements, things of that nature). If you have suggestions, I would welcome those!Solved31KViews1like9CommentsP2P how to handle internet loss
Hi, I have my game setup (using UNITY) and running on PC ( and Quest ). My question is how do people usually handle when one player has their internet go out while in a match? My game specifically only ever has 2 players, so if one players internet goes out I would expect the other player to be aware of that somehow and respond accordingly. I don't see the player getting any kind of event or notification or anything like that. Do I need to add a heartbeat that constantly pings the opponent and use that to determine the other player's internet went out? That seems like it would be build into the SDK, but perhaps not.
