UK Keyboard layout for USB keyboard
So, I don't currently have a bluetooth keyboard. No problem I thought I've got a wireless small logitech keyboard with a USB reciever and an adapter. Which works really well... but I'm rather disappointed to find all the layouts for a phyisal keyboard seem to be US? Would it be that much to put UK options? Tried to screenshot the options but it blanked them out..719Views2likes1CommentTracked Keyboard Sample no longer working
https://developers.meta.com/horizon/documentation/unity/tk-tracked-keyboard-samples/ This sample doesn't work for Unity 2022.3.16f1, Meta SDK v67, Logitech MX Keys Mini for Mac, Pale Gray. Whenever I select the input fields, I couldn't type anything. This probably duplicated but because the previous issue has been marked as solved, I'm creating another one https://communityforums.atmeta.com/t5/Unity-Development/Tracked-Keyboard-SDK-can-t-type-to-the-input-field-in-the/td-p/968879280Views1like0CommentsUnreal widgets and Virtual Keyboard
I'm currently having an issue in Unreal 5.2 with the virtual keyboard for the Meta Quest 3. Using an editable text box and selecting it will bring up the virtual keyboard. However upon closing the virtual keyboard all widgets lose any sort of interaction, buttons will not allow clicking and the text box cannot be selected again so the virtual keyboard will not appear again. Has anyone had any similar issues or know of any fixes for this issue? Thanks1.8KViews0likes3CommentsInternational keyboards
How can it be there is still no support for non english Bluetooth keywords ?! - Meta quest could be a nice productivity tool except this makes it useless outside English countries. Its such a basic feature I was surprised it not being supported when I bought a keyboard. A little searching and I can see this has been a mentioned issue for years ! Its can't be that hard to add? I hope this gets some attention at some point.538Views0likes0CommentsTransition from a traditional keyboard to a MX Keys S keyboard
I just purchased a MX Keys S keyboard. I like the feel and touch, but I am not used to this type of keyboard. I have been using a traditional keyboard for a long time with keys that did not need explanation (i.e. numbers lock, scroll lock, print screen, etc.). This new keyboard has nothing that I can relate to in performing any of the mentioned functions. I had the keyboard installed without any further guidance or instructions. So I did not set it up. I am not a techie by any means, so is there anyone who can help me make the transition from a traditional keyboard to this new one? All help would be appreciated. Thank you.768Views0likes0Comments[Feature Request] Integrate Tracked Keyboard with Meta Remote Desktop
I've been experimenting with Tracked Keyboard (Logitech MX Keys Mini) and Workrooms recently and have noticed a few UX/usability issues. The tracked keyboard communicates directly with the Quest, which makes perfect sense if you plan to use it as a direct input while using the Quest. However in Workrooms, when you bring your PC (or Mac in my case) in to the workroom, the keyboard does not control the PC. This is a major source of friction from a usability/UX perspective. A possible solution, and hence the feature request, would be to integrate the tracked keyboard with Meta's Remote Desktop app as the intention in this scenario is to control and directly input in to the PC. This way the user sees the keyboard (passthrough), the keystrokes are inputted directly to the PC, and Remote Desktop can pass keyboard events, positioning, etc. to the Quest. It does throw up the issue of two modes of Tracked Keyboard (one directly to Quest, the other to Remote Desktop), however cognitively this is easier for a user to manage than having two separate keyboards on the same desk (one for the Quest another for the PC), or to have the disconnect that the Tracked Keyboard doesn't directly control the applications on the PC that are brought in to Workrooms. I hope this helps. rgds Dave2.3KViews2likes3CommentsVirtual Keyboard not showing propely
My virtual keyboard doesn't show up in the rectangle dedicated to it, instead I see a part of my wallpaper. At times it appears on the main screen but after closing the Dash it's gone until I restart Oculus. The keys work propely but I can't see what I'm pressing. Is there a way to restore the original position of the virtual keyboard? I suppose the way it works is that Oculus Dash mirrors a portion of the screen where the virtual keyboard should be to show it in the dedicated rectangle. Forgive me for the low amount of information given, if you need additional info just let me know.26KViews2likes9CommentsKeyboard re-opens after hitting the confirm button
Hi, I'm using the TouchScreenKeyboard class to open the keyboard and when I press the confirm button of said keyboard it closes and re-opens instantly. I'm not using an input field so it's not a problem of it staying focused and I'm only calling the "Open" method once. Any help would be really appreciated.697Views0likes0CommentsLink/Editor keyboard
Hi everyone! Sorry if this post is a duplicate. I'm searching for a way to display/get the keyboard inputs during a Link session and the Unity Playmode. We are not able to use the Unity TouchScreenKeyboard as it seems only compatible with Android/iOS and Windows Store Apps. I would be glad if someone knows a built-in solution as we need the multiple languages support which is not an easy task to implement. Thank your for your time!996Views1like1CommentIssues with the Keyboard overlay
We're using the Keyboard overlay with Unity 2020.3.14 / Oculus XR Plugin 1.10.0pre2 / XR Plugin 4.0.7. We have two related issues: When pressing the keyboard close button (bottom-right) the keyboard just reappears. It seem Unity never gets the focus back as I don't get a InputFocusAcquired event. The keyboard overlay doesn't seem to handle multiline fields properly. I would expect the tick button to become a return, but pressing this doesn't add a return and instead closes the keyboard, then re-opens it again and because of the previous issue with the close button means you are stuck in the keyboard overlay with no way out... Both these issues happen with Unity UI InputFields & TMP versions. Thanks, Pascal.Solved12KViews5likes15Comments
