Publishing trial version in App Lab and charge customers outside the Quest Store
Hi, I'd like to share my app via Meta's App Lab so my customers could install it and try quick and easy - without enabling developer mode, installing via ADB etc. The idea is to: - publish app via App Lab - share free trial version (app connects to license server on startup to validate trial / license) - after trial period user is asked to provide license key (available to buy directly from me on my wesbite) Has anyone tried similar approach? Is it legal with Meta's policy? Or maybe is there option to sell via App Lab with time license? (I'd like to sell my app more like subscription than lifetime license)880Views0likes0CommentsUsing Interaction SDK Assets
Hi there, I'm utilizing the interaction SDK for a university project, and I'm having some trouble interpreting the license agreement; I'd like to include the background furniture (the dynamic window and all the texture-less living room furniture) as a backdrop for a user study, as it looks really nice and suits the atmosphere. I'm just struggling to understand if I need extra permission to display them (IE, have them visible in screenshots regarding the study), or if I'm allowed to use them at all. The assets themselves aren't specifically mentioned in the license agreement. Am I allowed to share screenshots of my user studies if they include these assets? Would I need to credit the SDK in my screenshots, and if so, how should I provide credit? I contacted Oculus developer support and they suggested I ask here. Thanks!801Views0likes0CommentsCan the assets of the Tuscany demo be used for commercial purpose?
Hi! Does anybody know if the assets from the Tuscany demo can be used for commercial purposes? These assets are parts of the OVR SDK, they can be found in the Unity Integration package 0.4.0, dating from 2014. The accompanying license states : You are Free to: Use, modify, and distribute the Oculus VR Rift SDK in source and binary form with your applications/software. Giving the possibility to redistribute SDKs is obvious to me. But what about the assets of the demos which come with these SDKs? Do they fallow the same redistribution conditions? Thank you in advance for your help!687Views0likes0Comments
