Live streaming to Facebook other players can't hear me.
Hi! I need some help, I have been livestreaming on Facebook using my quest and everything is great, but when I play multiplayer games like VRCHAT or Rec Room the other players can't hear me. My friends on my live can hear me, but not other players in the games. I saw someone said you need headphones but my headphones for my quest (two separate plugs) don't have a mic. Any advice?2KViews0likes2CommentsCan't link facebook
So basically I bought my Samsung Gear VR just a few weeks ago and was curious about the livestream feature. But it required you to link your Facebook account. Fair enough. At first try when I get to the link your accounts I click on it and nothing happens. I have tried this over and over again. I rebooted my phone, logged out of the Oculus app, unlinked my Facebook account in the Oculus app and I have the latest version of Facebook app. I have also unlinked any other Facebook accounts on my phone and Facebook app Here is a screenshot of what screen I'm stuck at!1.4KViews0likes1CommentOculus GO Screen Sharing Development Support
Screen sharing on the Oculus GO is finally here!! So pumped! However, we are having trouble getting our internally developed app to cast. I can get my GO to cast to my android device just fine. But once I launch our app a message pops up saying "Casting/Livestreaming Not Available". How can we add streaming support to our app? This experience is being developed in Unity and is currently being tested via sideloading and developer mode. Thanks!3.1KViews2likes11CommentsOverheating and Accelerated Battery Usage when Livestreaming?
Hey guys, I was just testing out the in-built facebook livestreaming feature of the Go while playing some GNOG.. After about 25 minutes, the game was interrupted by an overheating warning. I guess it's a credit to the Go's design that I couldn't feel any difference on my face, but when I reached up and touched the front of the device, sure enough it was HOT! I also noticed that the battery was nearly half empty, despite having been full when I started playing. That seems a little odd for just under half an hour of use, doesn't it? Is this heightened battery-consumption and heating normal, when using the Livestreaming feature? It makes sense that the hardware would be under extra strain, trying to process and upload the stream on top of running the game itself, but it's unfortunate if this means a live-streamed gaming session has to be kept short (and I can't imagine it's good for the device to let it get that hot)305Views0likes0Comments
