Ocolus Quest 1
I have an Oculus Quest 1 headset that’s become completely unusable. After a factory reset, it gets permanently stuck at the safety video screen during setup. I’ve tried: Factory reset multiple times Boot menu options Using the Meta Quest app to pair (both old and new versions) But the headset: Won’t move past the safety screen Won’t pair successfully And Meta’s site doesn’t recognize my serial number anymore This device worked fine before, and now it’s completely bricked with no clear support path. I need urgent help restoring basic functionality, as I can’t use the headset at all in its current state.17Views0likes2CommentsCannot Make Purchases. "Request cannot be completed until further actions"
Basically when i wanted to make a purchase, I couldn't, and this message kept popping up saying "Request Cannot be Completed until Further Actions." Probably because I entered my pin incorrectly like once or twice. But Now i can't buy games on my account. Is there any issue to resolve this?Solved39KViews11likes230CommentsHeadset keeps booting up on start up Logo Screen "MetaHorizonOS" then turns off, then repeats again.
I was playing on my Quest Pro until the display screen started to move on its own and then it went black.. It then mentioned that "my vr is having trouble tracking" It gave me the option to click on "Continue" without tracking. But it wouldn't let me click on continue at all because the screen display kept turning away from me. So I tried to power it off and power it back on. But then it started blinking on and off over and over. So then, I tried to do a factory reset. But not even that worked. I selected Factory Reset, it continued to turn on and off over again. The VR's light indicator will stay a solid white then it would turn off automatically, blink a red light for a split second, then turn back on again...Then it would repeat that process over and over... Anyone having this issue? Anyone found a solution? This is a fresh Quest Pro too. I really don't want to have to send it off again...33Views0likes1CommentFIXED: Quest 3 Locked After Setting Password Instead of PIN - NO Reset Needed
Problem: I accidentally set a password (e.g., "Meta Quest") using the hidden Android settings on my Meta Quest 3. After that, the headset asked for a PIN, not a password -- and there was no way to type letters. It looked like a factory reset was the only way out. Solution (No Factory Reset!): You can unlock your Quest and reset the passcode using the Meta Quest mobile app, even if the headset is stuck at the PIN screen. Step-by-Step: 1. Open the Meta Quest app on your phone (Android or iPhone). 2. Make sure the app is connected to your locked Quest headset. 3. Tap Menu > Devices > Headset Settings. 4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Passcode. 5. The app will prompt you to enter a PIN -- but it only shows a number pad, so you can't type your password here... yet. Workaround: 6. In another app on your phone (like Chrome, Notes, etc.), type your actual password -- for example: Meta Quest 7. Copy the password to your clipboard. 8. Go back to the Meta Quest app's PIN entry screen. 9. Paste your full password into the PIN textbox (yes, even though it shows a number pad). 10. Hit Enter -- your Quest will immediately unlock, and you can now set a proper 4-digit PIN. 100 percent working on Meta Quest 3. No factory reset needed. No debug mode. No PC. Just the Meta app plus this trick. Hope this helps others!27Views0likes0CommentsWe noticed something unusual and for your security, this request couldn't be completed.
Looks like a lot of people are getting this message when trying to purchase something. Wondering if anyone has been able to resolve it? I've had a ticket in 2 weeks, and they won't respond to me. If I start a chat to ask questions about it I'm told they have to close the chat to get me a status, then I get an email with a generic message telling me, they need more time. It's odd you can't call anyone to get help, or they don't send updates or anything. I'm not sure I've ever dealt with such poor support. (It's a dumb solution but what I've done is setup a separate account, using the same credit cards and I gift myself what I want from my other account, that's worked for me, but it does not appear to work for game dlc/expansions) Other messages about this state the solution is to put in a support ticket, that might be the only way to resolve it, I don't know, but so far, I 've not found anyone that has been helped by support. Message I get. We noticed something unusual and for your security, this request couldn't be completed. Hey everyone. I am new to the Meta Quest 3s. I had a 3 but thought it was busted. I ended up getting the 3s for free and wanted to try VR again. I followed all the instructions to set it up. When I went to launch a game on my PC (Phasmophobia) , it would launch on my desktop and in my headset I will see the purple/orange grid back ground and it will say the game name and the words "Next up" under it. I have a Ryzen 7 5700X,32 GB of RAM, and an RTX 2080. My specs are decent enough to run a lot of games. I have tried to mess with settings, force the game to launch in VR, even uninstall any VR stuff, and reinstall. I would do my windows, but I don't think that would solve anything. I am using AirLink as well. On my old headset, I had a cable too. Never worked. I know it's got to be something with my computer. If there is anything anyone can do to help me, that would be great. Thank you in advance!16Views0likes0CommentsQuest 1 stuck on “Update 1 of 2 Ready” - Factory Reset Doesn’t Fix It
Hi! I’m an owner of the original Oculus Quest 1 that I bought back in 2020. There was a period of around 3 years when I stopped using it for a variety of reasons but recently I had the bright idea to try it out once again. On my first boot I was able to get into the device’s menu but it kept telling me that I had to pair my device to my account again through the new Meta Quest App. So I tried that but… it just got stuck on the “health and safety” tab and the only solution I found online was to factory reset device… Ever since I did that - I’m unable to get through the update process or rather - the app just gets stuck on the safety tab again and the headset never goes past the 1 out of 2 updates screen. At first I thought my device was broken or something but it seems that the controllers are working perfectly fine and the only thing that is truly broken is that **bleep** update screen… The device gets picked up by the Meta Quest Link app on my PC without an issue but without getting through the whole truly awful process of pairing the device through that Meta app - there is no way to activate the PCVR Link option at all… So the headset seems to have become a paperweight? It’s truly baffling to me that Meta has dropped all kinds of support for a device that eventually became the cornerstone of their hardware business… And that all of the money I spent on this headset - have been dumped into the trash heap of history… after 4 years? LoL… I feel cheated.5KViews2likes18CommentsForced to have horizons, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram. Intolerable
I have a Quest 3, and I think it will be the last meta hardware I buy in the future. It's unacceptable that they force us to use HORIZONS, and that we can't uninstall WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook (they reinstall themselves when I turn on the headset). It's unacceptable that they do this.352Views3likes3Comments'Continue in Your Browser' - App login
I am trying to log in to the Oculus App on my PC, I have plugged in my headset, I clicked 'Continue with Facebook', then the next screen tells me to: 'Continue in Your Browser. To confirm your Facebook login, please switch to your default web browser now. The confirmation process may take a few seconds to complete'. I have opened every web browser on my computer, logged into my facebook account on each browser, turned firewalls off, and nothing happens / no confirmation occurs. And the 'Help Centre' button at the bottom of the screen doesn't link to anything either. Any idea what I should try next?Solved133KViews23likes133CommentsMy account was disabled by mistake
