How to stop Oculus from running on launch
I want to begin this by saying how dare you meta, I disabled oculus from starting up, closed the window and when I went to terminate the task in my task manager, oculus somehow managed to worm itself into opening again. this is beyond invasive, it's disturbing. If I can't stop oculus from opening down at a command line level, then how do I know you're not scanning my files and reporting them back to your data farms, are you that desperate to see the photos I have saved on my computer you perverts??? this application is no different than a virus, the only difference is instead of holding my files hostage, it's stealing my information and selling it to the highest bidder.Solved56Views0likes6CommentsOne Touch Pro Controller Won't Charge
My left Touch Pro controller wont charge, I try to clean the contact patches but nothing changes, I try multiple different outlets but nothing changed, multiple different blocks even though you shouldn't and still its broken, just displays a red dot forever and no haptic confirmation either. No drops or water contact or anything of the such in the past before it happened, it had just been sitting nice and neat in its case. I am trying to log in to the Oculus App on my PC, I have plugged in my headset, I clicked 'Continue with Facebook', then the next screen tells me to: 'Continue in Your Browser. To confirm your Facebook login, please switch to your default web browser now. The confirmation process may take a few seconds to complete'. I have opened every web browser on my computer, logged into my facebook account on each browser, turned firewalls off, and nothing happens / no confirmation occurs. So my son bought a Meta Quest 3 last year. He’s 13 and all was well until I realised I needed to supervise the account as there are a lot of apps and games available that put simply, just aren't appropriate for the mind of a 13 year old. This was all good and I was able to approve, block etc things I didnt think were right, after speaking with him as to my reasons why. Fast forward to today and I get a message on my Meta App saying that now he is 18 I no longer supervise him! Confusing as he’s very much still a 13 year old. Now either there’s been a glitch in the system or more likely, he’s changed his DOB to - as it turns out - 1989. I cannot change it back as he no longer appears in my app as a supervised person, and when you try via his app, it asks you for proof of age. We uploaded his passport and apparently now have to wait 48 hours. Not quite sure what happens next. There is no human help desk for Meta Quest. Any chat room I’ve tried sends me into an infinite look of AI directed FAQs and all I really want to do is speak to somebody and get this sorted out easily. If anybody from Meta Quest is reading this, I’d love some help, but my guess is they’re not and I’m left trying to protect the online safety of my son with random passport uploads and a hopeful attitude.71Views1like2CommentsThe new quest ui is terrible
so the new ui just came out for meta quest and its the most annoying overly complicated ui i have ever had the displeasure of dealing with anyone know any way to reverse it or suggest they change it back or at least give us the option to choose berween the old and new one its extremly annoying i know along of people feel the same way i have to slide thru like 9 tabs to locate an app i used to be able to see on one easy to slide screen and trying to open the call im on is like a 25 step process vs just clicking on one button on my quick menu please reverse this or give us the option to choose between the 2 or customize it694Views8likes14CommentsNot Getting My Replacement
