Recording Quest 2 Streams with Mic-Audio Natively in all gamss
I would like to be able to use the oculus app to record not only my gameplay but also a voice recording over the quest 2's build in mic. That way I can completely avoid a PC and I can use the quest 2 and phone as the only hardware needed to record videos/streams.864Views0likes0CommentsWhat microphones/headsets are compatible with Oculus Quest 2?
I love how video recording now includes your microphone, but it works a little too well. I have a deviated septum, one side of my nose is narrow and I tend to breath with my mouth too. So, the OQ2 picks up my nasal and mouth sounds. I was thinking maybe to use an external mic with a pop filter or maybe a headset also. Alternatively, I'm hoping Oculus allows us to control volume of the sounds being recorded/cast.732Views0likes0CommentsDisable microphone only for record (v29)
Hello all, Since the v29 we are allowed to record our voice with the record or share functionality. It's great and we were waiting so long for that! But there is a way to disable this functionality and keep the microphone for online game? I buy an microphone this week (Antlion modmic wireless) to stream my games and speak with this. But with the v29 if I let the microphone, my voice come with the two device and if I turn off my microphone on the headset, my mates can't hear me anymore... There is a way to keep microphone on game and disable it on record/screen share? If not, I will send back my wireless microphone 😕 Thanks1.7KViews0likes2CommentsMicrophone Level too Low
Hi I just got my Quest2 and I've been having lots of fun with it. That is until I join apps like VRChat or AltSpace. I've gotten feedback that my microphone level is too low and when I speak all they could hear was mumble and it is quite annoying when I speak, I nobody can hear me and I can at most speak only on 1 on 1 and even then the other person had to lean in to hear me. I can't be screaming on top of my lungs in the middle of the night. I've tried looking for solutions online but came across virtually nothing much except for 1 or 2. Seems like it's very rare and I hate to think that I'm one of the few who happen to get a malfunction mic on my Quest2 headset =( Nothing much on my settings about Microphone I turned off the fan in the room Altspace had microphone level turned up to 3 at Max Can somebody please help? If it is indeed machine malfunction, I would bring it in for a repair or something since it's still under warranty otherwise if there is a setting that I've missed, I would really appreciate it if I could be enlightened on it. Other possible solution: I saw a youtuber use a Modmic? Will that help? Thanks in advance! Cheers, Ben4.1KViews0likes3CommentsAnyone able to get the microphone working using steamVR and a link cable?
I bought a cable with good reviews on amazon for my link as my motherboard doesn't have the port for the official cable, but so far it works. I tried out beatsaber multiplayer using link and talking to my gf on discord. I changed my sound settings on my pc and discord to the right things and could hear her but she couldn't hear me through my headset mic or the built in mic, so I had to use my blue yeti which was far away. My headset working through the link but the mic. I messed with my settings for a bit so I can only assume it's a bug. Anyone else with similar issues or fixes?26KViews1like13CommentsQuest 2 bug: Microphone not working with Link
I just stumbled across a bug that I can not understand how it has slipped through the testing... This bug really needs fixing asap. The microphone does not always work when linked and in SteamVR. This is really annoying and the only workaround I have found to work is in this video: https://youtu.be/4BFv4KvXuAM8.2KViews0likes7CommentsUsing the built in quest 1 microphone?
This question might be difficult. I've found someone in vrchat who has a quest 1, but their microphone is not working at all and said it never has. What are some things I should try or precise instructions to tell them how to navigate the settings menu to enable the mic? it is possible but difficult for them to communicate with me, how can I troubleshoot for them?1.1KViews0likes1Comment
