Mixed Reality Capture with Browser based application
Hello, I am working on an application based on BabylonJS which is a browser based 3D engine. There are a variety of of examples of using babylonjs for virtual reality applications, such as: https://playground.babylonjs.com/#F41V6N#32 I am wondering whether it is possible to make a Mixed Reality Capture of such an application. I know that an application has to explicitely support MRC, however, in my case, the application would actually be the browser, so I was wondering: Is there a browser API to access the additional cameras etc. So far, I have only found one reference of a project, but it looks like this person does basically everything on his own and is not using any of the provided infrastructure: https://github.com/fabio914/reality-mixer-js Any ideas? Hello fellow Oculus users, developers, and fans. I need some help, and if you guys have any ideas on how to fix this problem, I would love it if you shared them. So, here's the problem: I have an Oculus Quest 1 and I am unable to get any version of the official MRC releases to work. In the case of the older versions, the camera calibration tool won't launch, and in the newest few releases, whenever I try to install the MRC app to my computer (which, yes, has a good webcam and is more than capable of streaming the video), I get the message: "Installation process was aborted/not completed successfully" The program doesn't give me a reason for its inability to download, nor does it give me the option to force-install. I have tried running the program as admin, turning off Norton and MacAfee, restarting, powering off, checking all connections inside my pc, making sure the two devices are on the same network, deleting all other previous OBS and MRC files, repairing the oculus app itself, changing the install location/path, deleting and redownloading the software (and yes, I deleted the old MRC file and emptied the recycle bin), reconnecting my webcam and putting it in different USB ports, downloading the alternate APKs for the software on my headset, and doing basically every other thing I could think of to help me solve this problem (including running the software through Unity and Unreal4). Please help me solve this problem, or shoot me some ideas. I would appreciate any tips, past experience, or advice. thanks everyone! oh, one last thing; if this helps, here are the specs: i7 2600 16gb DDR4 GeForce GTX 970 4gb 2tb SSD USB 3.0 650w power supply2.1KViews0likes2CommentsMixed Reality Capture Tool Calibration has to be redone almost every time
I am using the Mixed Reality Capture Tool (latest version 5.1.1) with a custom Unity App using the default MRC scene template. I am doing MRC with a quest 2 using the oculus link so I choose Rift S when using the tool. When I calibrate my camera and run the app and OBS everything works fine, but then if I re-run the app later in the day the calibration is all off and I have to recalibrate. It's a painstaking process and really annoying that it gets off for some reason. The camera has not moved. Any idea what the issue could be? It would be great if the tool/api would say where the calibration is stored so it could be saved externally and verified. It's way too much of a black box now. This would also be helpful to have separate calibrations for different setups.1.9KViews0likes1Comment
