OCULUS x VRGAMECARE 2-IN-1 SINGLE USE CLEANING PACK?
Oculus - I have this idea of creating a 2-in-1 single use vrgamecare pack, that cleans my Rift but also cleans my face after use. In addition to offering a hygiene product, the packaging could serve as marketing surface for game or product promotion. I have a lot more ideas on what we could do with this and would be very interested in chatted with someone in business development. Can we collaborate and make this a branded Oculus product? Thanks - redacted redacted NYC777Views0likes0CommentsIs this a good idea or not? Or does it already exist?
I basically know nothing about virtual reality, but I do know one of the biggest problems is character movement. After thinking about it, why not use the same two joystick movements as a regular game controller. The VR user could wear a belt with sensors on it and there would be matching sensors around the room at the same height. When the user went in a certain direction within a pre-specified circle, the character in the game would start to move in that direction, as if the user was pushing on the right joystick. If the belt went above the height of the sensors around the room, the character would jump and the belt going below would indicate a crouch. Following this same approach, there could also be sensors on the headset. This would simulate the left joystick movement so that wherever the user moved his/her head, the character would also do the same. This is more likely to already exist, but not incorporated with the belt and such. So is this a good idea or not? It doesn't seem very hard to implement and gets the user to physically interact with the game. I am not sure if it would stop the nausea that I heard happens with VR in certain situations. This technology may also already exist, in which case makes this question obsolete, but if it doesn't and if this is a good idea, I would love to see Oculus make it or some version of it.484Views0likes1Commentis there an application for historical purposes?
Hi, Im Emilio and I am a professor on history. I want to buy an oculus this year, but also i want to know if there is an application with historical sites, monuments, etc. I want to show my students how was the acropolis or the coliseum, that would be awesome for them. As we have the app to look the sky and see constellations, would be a nice idea to see historical and archeological places trhough time. Thanks792Views0likes1CommentWHATS NEXT FOR OCULUS!?
