Quest 3 stuck in an update boot loop
I own two Meta Quest 3 devices with Meta Warranty Plus coverage. I am experiencing the endless boot loop with one of the devices as described in the following threads: https://communityforums.atmeta.com/t5/Get-Help/QUEST-3-STUCK-ON-LOGO-AND-DOESN-T-START-UP/td-p/1111493 https://communityforums.atmeta.com/t5/Get-Help/My-Quest-3-is-stuck-in-bootloop-with-Turining-META-logo/td-p/1113431 https://communityforums.atmeta.com/t5/Get-Help/My-quest-3-won-t-launch-and-will-only-display-the-meta-logo/td-p/1138261 To summarize: After power up, device displays "disk" logo with down arrow and green progress bar After progress bar completes, meta logo appears, spins, fades, and repeats endlessly (have left device plugged in overnight with no progress) Video of the above taken by my phone of my headset is posted here: https://youtube.com/shorts/qpD6hcmvSXw?feature=share In answer to commonly requested questions from similar threads: The issue began on 2024/02/12 at approx 8 PM EST. The headset had been successfully paired with the Meta Quest app on my phone and had been in use since mid-January 2024. The headset had previously updated apps. I'm unaware if the OS and / or firmware had performed any updates. No error messages have been displayed, only the behavior as described and linked in video above. All accessories have been removed from the headset. Headset was fully charged when the issue began, has been allowed to fully discharge, and has fully charged again (LED is green). Issue persists. Two factory resets have been performed via power button and - volume key combination. Issue persists immediately after the reset with no successful boot. Headset was purchased directly from Meta in January, has had no other owners and has been used with care and stored in appropriate conditions free of sunlight, excessive heat, etc. I own the original device box with barcodes and serial numbers. Please advise of steps to have this issue rectified.Solved26KViews3likes75CommentsMeta Horizon Scrolling Bug
When I try to pair my quest 2 with the meta horizon app, I'm unable to scroll down and choose quest 2 on the device pairing page. I recently factory reseted the headset. Aditionally my phone is using the same network at the headset and has Bluetooth mode on. I've un-installed and re-installed the app 3 times, tried two family members phone's (also a samsung), and tried mirroring my phone to my computer's screen. Here's my phone version incase it's relevant to the issue: Phone: Galaxy A13 (Samsung) One Ui version: 6.1 Android version: 14111Views0likes6CommentsQuest 2 stuck in pairing loop, couldn’t pair with headset after factory reset
Hello Meta Community, I am reporting a persistent Meta Quest 2 pairing issue that does not appear to be caused by user error. My Quest 2 is stuck in the initial setup pairing flow and the Meta Quest or Meta Horizon app consistently shows the message “Couldn’t pair with your headset”. This issue persists even after factory reset and across multiple Android devices including Samsung Galaxy A15 5G, Samsung Galaxy A54, and a OnePlus device. I have performed factory reset using the boot menu, verified the headset shows a 6 digit pairing code, updated the Meta Quest app, cleared app cache and data, granted all permissions including Bluetooth and Location, used manual pairing with the code instead of auto detect, ensured the phone and headset were on the same network using a mobile hotspot, and disabled VPN and private DNS. The app detects the headset and sometimes shows “Headset connecting” but pairing never completes and Add New Device always fails. The same behavior occurs across phones and networks, suggesting a backend or account pairing deadlock rather than hardware or user error. I am posting to ask whether this is a known issue and if Meta support can reset or clear pairing state on the account or device. Thank you.65Views0likes4CommentsPairing stuck at Safety screen
I updated the Meta Quest App to the Meta Horizon version. Trying to pair my old Oculus Quest. The device is recognized. The code is accepted. I finished the whole process until I get to the final safety screen and there's no way to proceed from there - no OK/Continue button. Nothing. Is there anything I can do?Solved181Views0likes3Commentsquest 3 doesnt show up on devices list
Hey everyone, I just bought a Quest 3 from Best Buy a few days ago and set it up through the Meta Quest phone app. Everything works fine on the headset itself, but I’m running into two issues: The Batman game promo that was supposed to come with the headset never appeared in my library or “Purchased” section. When I log into my Meta account on my computer, it says I don’t have any devices added. If I try to add my Quest 3 manually with the serial number, it tells me there’s no device with that serial number. I’m 100% sure the serial number is correct (I even double-checked O’s vs 0’s). The headset is definitely authentic since I bought it sealed from Best Buy, and it works fine for playing games. The problem is when I try to contact Quest support, it blocks me because my account supposedly has “no devices.” Even though I am logged in on my phone app, support still won’t let me proceed. Has anyone run into this before? How do I get my Quest 3 properly tied to my Meta account so I can claim the Batman promo and actually contact support? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.457Views2likes19CommentsUnable to add payment method
Just bought a quest 3. My debit card is paired to my meta account. However, i am still unable to add my card as a Payment method on the meta horizon app, and get an error each time. I've tried multiple cards, nothing. No update needs to be performed. I have tried using a computer, phone and the actual headset. Even switching to cellular data. I have bought multiple things online lately, and the bank allows international purchases so I don't think it's on the cards end. I have restarted the device multiple times, tried on different days and nothing seems to work. There are a few cases online with the same problems, but they seem to have been fixed using instagram or facebook, which I tried, and they accepted my card, but it still will not add my card into the 'payment method' slot. Or they only use gift cards, which seems like a serious downgrade. Please help before I go and refund this VR before I ever got to play it.110Views0likes2CommentsCannot pair with the meta quest app - same 5 digit code
So i got a refurb meta quest 3 from the meta store on ebay. When it arrived, i tried to set it up - however, i am stuck on the screen where it asks to enter the code on my mobile app. I can see a 5 digit code on the quest - but entering that on the app shows 'couldn't pair with your headset'. So i tried several times, logged in and out the app, reinstalled the app, reset network settings on my iphone, tried a different phone - all failed. The strangest thing is, I have even reset the quest to factory settings over 5 times - and each time, the 5 digit code that shows up is always the same. This seems odd - as i would expect a new one each time. Has anyone else faced the same issue - and if so, what did you do? Thanks!Solved245Views0likes16CommentsCan’t Complete Setup on Quest 2 After Factory Reset - Not Appearing in My Devices
I had my Meta Quest 2 stored for a while. When I turned it on again, it updated and the unlock pattern changed from the 9-point square grid to an 8-point diamond layout. Eventually, I wasn’t able to unlock it because the pattern was never corrected, so I performed a factory reset to use it from scratch. Now the device asks me to continue the setup through the Meta Horizon app, but the headset shows as “disconnected” in the app and I can’t remove it. Also, on "meta.com/quest/" and on "oculus.com", the device doesn’t appear under my registered devices at all. Is there any way to fix this or force the setup to continue?39Views0likes0CommentsQuest pro controller failing to pair
as far as ive seen online, this is not a problem only I have. My left quest pro controller is failing to connect to my quest pro itself. It sits there, flashing purple and white. my quest pro during the pairing process gives me a message of "controller failed to pair" HOWEVER, the right controller paired just fine. Ive tried resetting the controller, restarting, keeping it in cameras view, restarting the headset, etc. im unsure of what to do. considering i just spent around $850 on the headset and controllers for christmas.77Views1like4Comments
