Account being deleted 9 days before son turns 13 – Need help
Hi everyone, I urgently need help and hope Meta staff are monitoring this forum. The situation: My son (12) has a Meta Quest account He turns 13 on April 17, 2026 His account will be deleted on April 8, 2026 according to the notification – 9 days too early What happened: Two weeks ago, I successfully linked his existing account with parental supervision (13+) It worked initially Now I received another deletion notice The invitation link method no longer works The account has purchased games and credit balance What I need: Extension of deletion deadline by 10 days (until after his 13th birthday) Or: Transfer of purchases/credit to a new account Or: Clarification if a supervised 10-12 account can be converted to 13+ on his birthday (without losing data) The support problem: I cannot find any way to contact Meta directly. No chat, no form, nothing. Is there an official way to contact Meta Support directly? Has anyone had similar experiences? How can I reach Meta before the account gets deleted? Thanks in advance!24Views1like1CommentAuthentication should be required to switch to the admin account on Quest 3
I've created two supervised child accounts, I've added both accounts to our one headset (Quest 3). My account is the admin/parent supervisory account. When I go to the "switch accounts" interface, I can select either child account. But once I'm in that child account, I can just click "switch accounts" and become the other child or the admin without any prompt for passcode or any other kind of authentication. This defeats the purpose of enabling parental controls on the child accounts if they can just switch to the admin account at will. I must be missing something obvious, but I can't figure out how to keep account switching limited for the non-privileged users. I've enabled the headset passcode, but that's not the same thing. That just gives access to the headset. Once any user is admitted to the headset, they can become any of the accounts that are added to that headset including the admin. I keep reading about some kind of swipe pattern that was used on the Quest 2 but I haven't seen any menu items on Quest 3 that allude to a swipe pattern. I'm sure I'm missing something.Solved9.7KViews13likes27CommentsI can't ask for permission on age restricted games it just won't load
I recently wanted to play the Game Bonelab on my quest 2 ! My parents are totally fine with me playing 18+ games since I myself am 17 and turning 18 soon. However my account is entirely restricted for 18+ games ! I already set up the parental controls with my mom‘s Account to disable the function and give me full access to the entire catalogue ! However, whenever my mom disables the restriction, the option is immediately re-enabled when you leave the menu ! My phone app got spammed with „your restrictions have been disabled“ notifications, however the changes never apply ! I also am unable to even send an approval notification for any purchases overall, so there is absolutely no button to even press ! Well, now my Mom gifted me the game over her account, because we thought this maybe worked better. But the activation code just gets rejected with the same „you aren‘t 18 yet“ response… What can i do ? I have full approval of my parents as I said before… We followed all the guides on the websites, doing everything step by step. Websites don‘t work either, we tried the Website on Desktop and also via Mobile Browser…5.8KViews0likes11CommentsMeta Quest build v41 release notes

Apps that can be blocked include apps like web browsers and apps available on the Meta Quest Store The parent will be able to approve their teen’s download or purchase of an app that is blocked by default based on its IARC rating Teens 13+ can submit an app access request, which triggers a notification to their parent The parent can then approve or deny the request from the Oculus mobile app The parent will be able to view all of the apps their teen owns The parent will be able to receive “Purchase Notifications,” alerting them when their teen makes a purchase in VR The parent will be able to view headset screen time from the Oculus mobile app, so they’ll know how much time their teen is spending in VR The parent will be able to view their teen’s list of Oculus friends The parent will be able to block Link and Air Link, which will prevent their teen from accessing content from their PC on their Quest headset Note that Parental Supervision tools will be rolling out gradually.
