Quest link not working with Quest 3
I just updated my Nvidia driver to the most recent version (537.58), and now Quest link just isn't working at all. Tried uplugging and replugging the link cable, nope. Tried restarting the headset, nope. Anyone else having this problem?Solved170KViews16likes156CommentsKnown Issue: Closing Steam VR crashes Dash
Hi everyone! We're seeing a small group of Steam VR users finding that Dash is crashing on headset and that their PC is becoming unresponsive once they quit the app. The team is working on identifying and fixing the root cause of this issue, and right now the investigation shows that this is likely related to Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling being enabled when using certain Nvidia GPUs. If you're having this issue, there is a workaround In the meantime! You can prevent this happening by disabling the Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling feature. To do so, follow these instructions. If you need any further help or have noticed other bugs around Steam VR, please comment below. Hi everyone, I am reopening this issue because it still happens in 2025. My Quest 3 loses all PC audio when using Link cable. Windows shows “Oculus Virtual Audio Device” and the audio meter moves, but there is no sound in the headset. Cable has been tested by the app and works at full speed. If I use the “Repair” option in the Meta/Oculus PC app, the audio works again. But after a few days, the problem returns and I have to run Repair again. This happens almost every week. This makes the headset annoying to use because repairing the app takes several minutes and should not be necessary for basic audio output. Why this is a problem: -Repairing the app every time: takes several minutes -closes services and restarts the PC app -sometimes resets parts of the configuration -shouldn’t be necessary for such a basic feature What I already checked: -Oculus Virtual Audio Device set as default in Windows -Volume and sound device settings are correct -Good USB 3 cable and port -Quest audio works fine in standalone mode -Windows 11 fully updated -Meta PC app fully updated What I am looking for: Are other users still experiencing this? Does anyone know what keeps breaking the audio driver? Is there a permanent fix that avoids repairing the app constantly? Meta support: when will this known issue be solved??? Thanks in advance for any help or new information.315Views2likes6CommentsTest Multiplayer (p2p) with a single headset
Hi, I'm wondering if it is possible to test a multiplayer game that uses the oculus p2p api for its networking by running an instance on your headset and an instance on your PC with no headset. I am developing in Unity and this would speed things up considerably.3.9KViews1like7CommentsWhat happened to Hybrid Apps?
What TH happened to Hybrid Apps? The concept (was) is so powrfull and, nevertheless, somehow banished as it had never existed. That's weird. I mean, c'mon, it's been less than 18 months from those presentations at OC5. It's not like it was the Pleistocene, even in VR-time terms, and the idea is still good. If the impliementation did not work, there still should be some kind of Oculus support plan or recomendations to build hybrid PC+Monitor / VR apps. Does anybody know anything about where it all went, and if it's abandoned or not? Thanks Alex677Views1like0CommentsPC SDK - v1.35 (02/25/19)

No we can't even escape politics or political correctness by retreating into our virtual worlds: ITEM: Virtual Reality Haunted House Shut Down After SJW’s Brand It ‘Hurtful’ to Mentally Ill Fear VR, a virtual reality Halloween haunted house at California’s Great America and Knott’s Berry Farm, has been closed down just days after its launch following complaints that the hospital-set haunt was “hurtful to those who suffer from mental illness.” http://www.breitbart.com/tech/2016/09/29/virtual-reality-haunted-house-shut-down-after-sjws-brand-it-hurtful-to-mentally-ill/5.1KViews1like34CommentsApplication launch error.
I can't figure out what happened to the application on the PC. Updates are worth everything. At one point, it began to produce such a window, followed by a suggestion to "fix", which does not change anything, absolutely. Deleting and installing it again also didn't bring anything. Who knows what to do?94Views1like1Comment
