update breaks quest 3 tracking
my quest 3 had good tracking before i updated it on Tuesday (nov-25) now i have a buggy device that cannot track even when i have my room light on. my warranty is expired and i have tried everything the support bot has given me and, when making a support ticket there is no option under headset regarding tracking. I am all for tips or tricks that i can do, and if someone can find a way to rollback to a previous update that doesn't require me to use the setting menu in the headset im all ears.95Views1like6CommentsNew Quest 3 locked on software update, impossible to fix.
Hi guys, I bought my first Quest 3 today. When I turned it on, it started a software update but it gets stuck there — the device keeps turning on and off without completing the update, and I can’t get past that screen. I haven’t even set up my Meta Horizon account yet, and since I didn’t purchase my Quest 3 through the official Meta store, when I try to enter my device’s serial number on the website it gives me an error. I tried doing the sideload update (the only fix I found on the internet) by holding the volume down and power buttons on the Quest 3. But when I select my device in the browser, I get a message saying: “your device is not supported, please try reconnecting your devices.” Weird cause both my PC and Chrome are detecting it as Quest 3. I also tried disabling adblock, deleting caché and cookies, incognito mode, other browsers, other PCs, other cables, connecting it on different times, etc. There is not a single thing I haven't tried. (Every single one of these attempts were done while having 50% battery. There’s nothing else I can do, literally — I’ve already tried factory reset several times as well. Do I need to return my device? I'm submitting this post so support can help me. I'm quite desperate, I don't see my issue anywhere on google and I spoke to support via Whatsapp and everything they told me to try, I already had.905Views1like10CommentsMeta quest link app doesn't launch

Thanks204Views1like16CommentsRequest: Add Arabic Language & Keyboard Support for Meta Quest.
Hello Meta Team, I’m writing to highlight the urgent need for Arabic language support (including an Arabic keyboard) on Meta Quest devices. The Arabic-speaking market is one of the largest in the world, with over 420 million native speakers across 22 countries in the Middle East and North Africa. This region has one of the highest internet and mobile adoption rates, and VR adoption is growing rapidly. According to market research, the MENA gaming market is projected to exceed 6 billion USD by 2027, with VR playing a major role. Many potential users in this region are excited to explore Meta Quest, but the lack of Arabic support creates a barrier to entry and reduces the overall experience. Adding Arabic language support will: Improve accessibility for millions of users. Strengthen Meta’s presence in a fast-growing market. Boost sales and brand loyalty in the region. We sincerely hope you prioritize Arabic language support in upcoming updates, as it would be a game-changer for millions of potential customers. If you also want Arabic support, please upvote this post so Meta can see the demand.105Views3likes1CommentGrey Screen on opening Horizon app on iOS
Hey folks, I recently got my Quest 3, configured everything using my Pixel and all was well, I ended up getting an iPhone 17 from work for personal use so I’m now using that, my issue is that when I try to open the Horizon app to see the store and all , the screen is a dark grey and never shows anything on the phone (the headset still works just as amazingly as the first day) latest app version on the store and iOS 26.1 , anyone else facing this? Or know how to fix it? already tried a reinstall several times, even resetting the phone to factory and configuring again31Views0likes1CommentStarting at Rift 1 it’s silly that Quest in 2025 still lack basic user controls for core functions
People have been asking Meta for years to add a simple toggle to disable the proximity sensor directly on the headset. Instead, the only way is through ADB or SideQuest, which makes zero sense for a mainstream device. A native setting should exist by now. Meta also removed the option to disable the “double tap to glance” overlay. It’s now permanently on with no way to turn it off. In fast movement or dance sessions, both problems annoy constantly. Quick head movement or leaning forward trips the proximity sensor, and accidental taps or scratches activate room view. It breaks immersion every time. It honestly feels like the product designers don’t actually use the headset actively. Having to open a developer account just to disable Guardian proves it. If there are legal concerns, add warnings. Don’t take away core user control! Small note while on on the train of annoying issues about Pro: -thanks for fixing the odd rendering issue on Pro headset where a diagonal line was breaking the image on the headset after updating to v80 and up its gone BUT when will your microphones ever be flawless? It's not as bad as the Rift S, but occasional mic dying turning robotic or giving a high pitch scream still appears once every few months or weeks does not happen on my Quest 3, Rift cv1, but we all know the famous Rift s mic going robot mode! (all headsets now on newest OS at the time of writing this)11Views0likes0CommentsThis corporation is getting ridiculous. Bring back Home Environments. Stop.
I want to start by saying the micro instant the Valve Steam Frame is released, I will be immediately throwing my Oculus Quest 2, and 3 in the garbage as hard as I can. I cannot stand this nonsense anymore. I do not want to even sell it for the hundred bucks I can make off of it, because I know Facebook will make way more money collecting the intimate, personal data through the inside-out tracking cameras of the next poor sucker that uses one of these things. Facebook has done nothing but shoot itself in the foot over and over and over, month after month with absolute zero public favor as a result. Besides the VR Youtubers glazing and reaching as hard as possible to find a teeny tiny positive thing with each quest DownDating. (The opposite of updating) This is probably something I'm going to be banned for, but I do not care. My data being deleted from Facebook will be an absolute win. I have loved this corporation so much for its VR hardware from Palmer Luckey, and software for the first 4 years of its existence. Then it went to garbage. Removing home environments and forcing users to constantly use their headset at full tilt (100% GPU/CPU usage) at all times. This is the exact definition of bloatware. The new homes look horrible, I don't want a bunch of fake NPC's that cosplay losers, that jump around my forced meta horizons slop environment. Why would you undo all that progress making those environments, they were literally the only cool thing left. This is clearly malicious, what are you even gaining from doing this? While I'm here, i'm going to mention the state of Oculus Link. There is no oculus link anymore. it is completely non functional, its been 3 years of the exact same loop. One week it will work flawlessly, then after a 'meta link' update, it goes right back to having zero functionality. It will finally work for no reason, then like magic clockwork, an 'update' comes out, and it no longer connects, no longer has audio, no longer has depth perception. This is clearly a deliberate method to push PCVR players away from high fidelity pc titles, into their standalone horizons slop. I have put so much god forsaken money into this company through 99% ad revenue and personal data collection, and about 1% transactions and purchases. I've put about a thousand+ dollars into this to be abandoned and forgotten. Facebook no longer allows support for their product. Yes. I am not fabricating anything. If you managed to finally dive through the hoops to get to the Serial Number selection screen, it will not accept your number. It doesn't matter what it is, they will pretend they cannot find your box, or your headset, or your controllers and selecting "I don't have a device or serial number" will prompt you to a screen saying "we cannot help users without devices at this time". Genius strategy!! Do absolutely nothing to improve your company, actually, do the opposite. Completely ruin your company over the course of 2 years, completely disable any support for quests, boom profit. TLDR. I will be immediately switching to the Valve Steam Frame the micro-second it drops and throwing away all my Oculus Quests in the garbage due to a complete failure, lack of trying, and constant malicious attempts to screw the Quest users over at every possible turn. Stop updating, or do it right. Expect the automatic bot comment from Facebook to be the first comment, using the perfect words to get you to shut up. Actions speak louder than an automated bots words, act like normal people for 20 minutes. What are your thoughts, be so for real. Assume anybody shooting this down with zero thought is a metabot. This is inexcusable. Give me genuine reasons to appreciate what this has become. With technical explanations. This is genuinely horrible and you've lost me and thousands of others.147Views2likes6Comments
