Best public solution for apk/obb hosting for Meta Quest for Business
Hello, I am looking to setup my VR app (apk + obb) to be hosted publicly and distributed to enterprise headsets via Meta Quest for Business. Unfortunately it looks like Meta Quest for Business does not provide a way to upload my apk and obb like I can for the Meta Quest store/app lab. Has anyone found a good solution that allows for automatic download like Meta Quest for Business requires to host their large apk and obb's that meets Meta's requirements? In some of their documentation they showed folks using https://rawgit.com/ but it looks like that service is being shut down and I'm not sure looking at the alternatives rawgit.com recommends if they will work for Meta. I have my apk and obb backed up on a public github with LFS (that autodownloads for me and is not SHA encrypted). But no matter what hosting solution I try Meta Quest for business scans the app and says there was an error: An error occurred when scanning the app file for Ace Double-check the app file link and try again. Howdy folks, I see a lot of folks looking to play pc games offline after they've synced their headset to the device, or fully download a game and play offline... I'm developing a business app and the company would prefer to not have to link back to the Meta mothership AT ALL. That is, no one makes accounts, the headset(s) just wirelessly link back to the system with the software / database without the Meta store or middleware. I'm fairly certain this is possible when wired, but wirelessly... I haven't seen a way yet. I've been developing with an account thus far so this is the first time I've had to think about it. In short, is it possible? or am I stuck with USB tethering? Thanks!506Views0likes0Comments
