Quest Link via cable low performance after update
I'm really upset with the performance of Quest software nowadays. I was playing Alyx, Metro and Beat Saber a while ago with zero issues (recommended settings and 600mb bitrate on debug). For some reason, after some updates, I'm getting unplayable stutters even on the Link menu while using the headset. Nothing changed on my hardware. I'm still playing all my flat games on 2k with high fps, so why they reduced my recommended settings and I'm getting really bad fps even on 0.7x? RTX 3080, RYZEN 9 6900HX, 32GB RAM, WIRED LINK 3.2 GBPS
Unintended automatic Recenter when using hand tracking with Quest Link
Location of the issue: Quest Link home screen and applications using Quest Link Symptoms: - First, put on the Quest headset while it's in sleep mode. - The proximity sensor then wakes the Quest from sleep mode and launches the app. - At this point, if you use hand tracking to turn your palm towards yourself, it unintentionally triggers an automatic Recenter. Additional information: - Once this behavior occurs, it won't happen again until the Quest enters sleep mode next time. - This issue occurs not only in Quest Link apps but also on the Quest Link home screen. - The Recenter seems to trigger the moment the Meta button appears on the wrist. - We checked the log output using ADB, but couldn't find any relevant error information at the moment this issue occurred. This Recenter occurrence significantly disrupts the user experience when demonstrating apps that rely solely on hand tracking. When users move their hands, it unintentionally triggers a Recenter, causing confusion with the user's perspective and severely compromising the experience. Meta PC software can't reach Meta Quest Link services.
as you can see in my screenshot somethings not right. ive searched the internet but i found nothing, i use windows and this error came when i installed the software and it went through a scan to verify everythings alright. I also tried the "repair" button many times and uninstalled and reinstalled the program a couple of times but its still not working. (also restarted my pc many times and i also have a stable internet connection.) Does anyone know what i could try?
Need help figuring out how to enable the OpenXR Runtime "Set Oculus as active" option
I am trying to connect my unity editor to my Meta Quest 2 to rapid run and test out my VR apps. However running into issues with the set up. The "set oculus as active" option on my Oculus desktop app is not enabling or responding. This seems to be a key problem. I am not sure why, here are some videos from my end: 1. Hi, I'm trying to run the unity project in Oculus quest 2 device through Quest link. I connected the device to the system via USB 3.0 cable (as recommended) I enabled Oculus link in the device which launches the Oculus app in the system. In the Oculus app, it shows the status as connected. When I hit the play button in the Unity editor, it is supposed to run in the device. But it always launched in the editor. Till few days back, it was working and launched in the same device from the same system. Recently I'm facing this issue. Also tried updating the graphics drivers. PC Model: Precision 5570 VR device: Oculus Quest 2 Could someone help me resolve this issue? Thanks in advance.
