Quest Pro controllers go to sleep too quickly.
Both my partner and I have Quest Pros. We AirLink them to our PCs and play VRChat that way. However, we've both noticed that if we stop moving our hands for only about 10 to 15 seconds the controllers seem to go into a sleep mode which causes our characters in VR's arms to drop straight down to their sides. We can wake the controllers back up by wiggling them a bit but it's quite annoying and jarring to have your arms constantly fall to your sides. It's especially annoying when you're using one controller to scroll through a menu and the other goes to sleep causing the game to enter into one controller mode and then the controller you were using to scroll a menu now moves your character so the menu closes and your character starts moving in some direction. I have looked all over but do not see a way to adjust how frequently the controllers go to sleep when not being moved. I've also tried factory resetting both the headset and the controllers.Solved11KViews7likes21CommentsLeft Quest Pro Controller Won't Pair. Is It Bricked?
I've tried about every method under the sun. Factory resetting, power cycling, pairing in VR, in the mobile app, and connected to the PC. Nothing works. When I first booted up the Quest Pro, I saw the right controller receive a firmware update, but not the left? Is there anything I can do? I don't want my purchase to go to waste.56Views1like4CommentsQuest pro controller failing to pair
as far as ive seen online, this is not a problem only I have. My left quest pro controller is failing to connect to my quest pro itself. It sits there, flashing purple and white. my quest pro during the pairing process gives me a message of "controller failed to pair" HOWEVER, the right controller paired just fine. Ive tried resetting the controller, restarting, keeping it in cameras view, restarting the headset, etc. im unsure of what to do. considering i just spent around $850 on the headset and controllers for christmas.67Views1like4CommentsOut over $28.000 from Meta..Quest Pro.. Just became a piece of expensive plastic
This was bought for me for Christmas since I'm really into creating . Worked great.. 2 months out of waranty..it died. Literally... I was in a game playing.. it went black, didn't shut down, cause I didn't here the jingle. Battery was over half full. Now .. wont turn on... doesn't charge.. doesn't make a sound...doesn't light up anywhere.. its just expensive plastic.. I've done all troubleshooting.. tried reset.. It won't do most of troubleshooting since it won't do anything..Im out alot of money..I am a creator, and can't get anything done.now it's discontinued shortly after it was created. I dont find this right.. I've told them it was a software update I believe since it had just did one.. At first thought no matter if it has warranty or not they should fix cause there software did it.. but now I want it fixed even if I have to pay. They told me they are aware of this problem, but they have no solution.. so I'm stuck. Im very upset.. We had to really save for this expensive device that was discontinued 2 years after creating.. I have literally bought at least one of every device from meta in the past.. sometimes 3 or 4.. I have from all previous headsets 700 purchased games.. my pro headset alone I have over 270x at least $30 a game.. They tell me BUY A NEW ONE.. Where is customer appreciation care?Where is loyalty?I have never used there repair or warranty for any of my headsets.. I AM NOT GOING TO EVER BUY ANOTHER META HEADSET... Being that now days the games are software on line, there is no physical hard copy, I'm out $28.000 from all my different headset types holding games from meta.. averaging games at $40 and over 700 games bought from gear, go ,quest 1, 2 ,and pro.. I can't even recoup any money by selling my games to anyone.. this us a serious problem. They should at least have some kind plan set up for fixing there most expensive product that is discontinued. Hello everyone! I am trying to trigger eye tracking via Unity directly in the Unity Editor with Meta Quest Pro. When I build an apk, eye tracking works. But it doesn't work via Meta Quest Link. I have read repeatedly over the last few weeks that there have been problems with Quest Link. I wanted to ask if anyone has recently been able to implement a project in which eye tracking worked via Meta Quest Link and what tools were used. I have already read that ALVR via SteamVR is an option for transferring eye-tracking data, but I had problems with the packages. (My understanding is that you then need the SteamVR package and XR Interaction Toolkit instead of the Meta All-In-One SDK). As a side topic, another question would be whether it is currently normal for passthrough transmission on the Quest Pro to be very slow with the current Quest Link version, but to work normally with the Quest 3. My preference would actually be to do everything with the Meta Quest Link connection and the Meta Quest All-In-One SDK. However, if passthrough and eye tracking don't work via Quest Link, a solution with SteamVR may be necessary. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I would appreciate any tips.63Views0likes0CommentsExternal microphone not working on Link
I recently purchased a usb C gooseneck microphone to plug straight into my Quest Pro (v81). It works and sounds great on native quest apps and recordings, but as soon as I use any streaming software (AirLink, Virtual Desktop, or Steam Link), it does not work. On AirLink and Virtual Desktop, I will get extremely loud clicking that overlaps the audio. Sometimes Virtual Desktop will straight up crash. And again, it works perfectly fine in recordings on the Quest and when testing the microphone on social apps. As a control, I plugged my Antlion modmic straight into the Quest Pro and discovered that it worked with no issues. So now I am confused as to what makes this new microphone not work with AirLink but work perfect on native apps. I've also factory reset the headset and reinstalled Virtual Desktop and Oculus Link on the PC side and that yielded no results.180Views0likes9CommentsQuest Pro Replacement
I sent my Quest pro in for an RMA replacement under warranty because the face tracking stopped working. it was received, over a week ago and i have had no updates from them, the RMA page still shows awaiting arrival, despite having a signature for delivery. I have reached out to the support email multiple times and been given multiple excuses why its taking so long, everything from "internal investigations" to "the system processing is taking longer." is this normal? my warranty expires june of 2026, and at this point i feel more like the RMA was not worth it as im now out almost $1000 for a headset i dont even have because of this. I was told when i filed the rma i would have my replacement in under two weeks. Is this normal for meta support?97Views0likes7CommentsMeta Quest app no longer connects on iOS 26
I have a quest pro. Updated my iPhone to iOS 26 and now I can no longer go into the headset settings to enable developer mode. I still can do so on an older iPad that is on iOS 18 just fine. I have tried rebooting the headset, reinstalling the app, checking bluetooth settings to no avail. It is definitely related to iOS 26. The app will be stuck on connecting to headset and never succeed148Views0likes1CommentQuest PRO - after V.81, half of the face tracking stopped working (the left eyelid does not move)
Quest PRO - after V.81, half of the face tracking stopped working (the left eyelid does not move). Verified - left eyelid does not move in the home world on Quest Pro itself. Verified - the left eyelid does not move precisely when tracking the face. Verified - the right eyelid moves and fully works in face tracking. Verified - the left eye moves with the right. It is the left eyelid that does not work. Verified - I turned face and eye tracking on and off 10 times, restarted Quest Pro 10 times, logged into my helmet and PC account 10 times, and Factory reset Quest Pro 10 times. The Quest Pro backlight is in working condition. Quest Pro has been kept clean in the factory box for over 9 months. Quest Pro was used for no more than 2 months in a room without contamination, without water, without dirt, without hitting objects, without throwing, without throwing on the floor. Quest Pro was immediately upgraded to v.74 and v.81 with Wifi updates only at 100% battery charge. What could have gone wrong? Please correct it.151Views0likes1CommentQuest pro extreme instability issues on an eero mesh/WAN network
Got a quest pro recently in mint condition and has absolutely no problems other than it refusing to maintain a connection on only the 5ghz bandwidth of my WiFi. It works fine with mobile hotspots and maintains a consistent connection on 2.4ghz but I plan to use it for PCVR so that's not really an option. It's not traffic on the router either as I have tested with nothing else connected to it. If anyone has any advice on this or has been in a similar situation some help would be appreciated as I've looked everywhere to find there is no info on this at all. Even Meta support couldn't figure it out.37Views0likes0Comments
