PTC 2.3 - Quest Pro controller is getting an offset every 30
- Quest Pro controller is getting an offset every 30s that doesn't resolve itself (I have this issue since day one, on three different controllers so it's not hardware related) as before where I was putting the drifting controller in my back a few seconds to make the headset/controller line of sight occluded, then bringing the controller in front my face/the headset, it used to recalibrate after a few seconds. This issue makes the headset useless when randomly one of your controller is multiple meters away from your actual hand... Note I tried to leave PTC, performed a factory reset : I haven't been rollback to 2.1, I'm stuck on 2.3... Edit : After thousand hours of VR, it's just today I found a way to force the quest pro controller to reset its tracking : I bring the controller inside a pocket/below my t-shirt for a few seconds, then bring it in front of the headset -> it resets the tracking... At least I can use my Quest Pro without restarting my controller every few minutes.357Views6likes15CommentsScreen tearing lines after v2.1 on quest2 and 3s
Specific Symptoms & Conditions Only Affects UI/Overlays: The tearing and artifacts only appear on the Quest UI, menus, overlays, and video streaming layers (such as Virtual Desktop or screens with white backgrounds). 3D Environments are Unaffected: Full 3D environments, background environments, and in-game visuals work perfectly fine, as long as no system overlay is present. Tied to Head Tracking: The visual tearing is triggered by head movement. It appears as horizontal lines when moving the head up and down, and vertical lines when moving the head left and right. Affected Devices & Firmware Hardware: The issue is widespread and not isolated to one headset. Users have confirmed this is happening on the Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S. Software: Multiple users pinpointed that the issue began very recently, specifically after the Horizon 2.1 update. Troubleshooting Attempted (No Fix Found) Users have attempted standard fixes, including factory resets and using the Meta Quest Update Tool, but the issue persists. Hardware defect ruled out: While one user suggested it could be a loose display cable, the community consensus strongly confirms this is a software/firmware issue. A broken display cable would cause persistent visual glitches across all games and apps, whereas this issue dynamically turns on and off depending strictly on whether a UI overlay is present. https://www.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/1rz62f9/comment/oc5a99g/ - pictures and video included https://www.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/1rq1z31/quest_2_rainbowartifacts_tearing_but_only_on_ui/ Possibly: Screen Tearing Artifacts | Meta Community Forums - 13690361.8KViews6likes60Commentsquest pro wont update and says no update found stuck on update version 474217005157000000

I've been looking around and searching and i just do not understand why meta hasn't gone and made a dongle for pc vr users to have a lag free connection to their pc, because we all know how unreliable Wi-Fi is and how expensive it could be too, but not only that, they are just parts of the world that just don't have good Wi-Fi at all like Alaska for instance, i have many friends who still live in Alaska and the number one issue and thing they hate about the quest is the only option is Wi-Fi, which i honestly don't even think Alaska has got Wi-Fi 5 let alone wifi6. i feel making a dongle similar to how the cable of the index is, (have a usb 3.0 or usb-c to connect to the motherboard to send info back and fourth to the headset and pc then add a display port cable that will take the video out put straight to the headset), allowing no other things to effect playing. with Wi-Fi it can only be so good and when everyone come home from work and get on the internet you gaming isn't going to be as nice, so maybe this will spark a idea for meta, that way they can grown their player base and also just finally making a good headset for once, if i was able to have a pcvr only version of the quest pro that would be so nice, and also not having to use that terrible meta app as it takes up way to many resources, not trying to bash meta, just trying to give them some ideas, because right now it doesn't matter how many cool or unique features are added to the headset, until they make a headset that can wirelessly connect to the pc and not by Wi-Fi and ensure a reliable and stable connection, i will not be using any of their products as well they aren't worth it141Views0likes10CommentsStartup issues with Q3/QPro v85 Final
Since the latest v85 final (non-PTC) on both my Q3 and QPro headsets (and meta-link pc app) neither headset starts up properly. It seems to startup ok but then goes to a black screen (did the same after the update/restart btw). To get it to startup I need to press the power button once (get a sleep mode beep), then press it again, and then it starts up fine and seems to work well with everything. Also, my Q3 Elite battery strap still does not charge its battery and headset battery properly. I don't get any charge lights on the headset and it only seems to charge the headset battery to 75-80%. I have files bug reports on all these issues. Hopefully Meta will eventually provide fixes. Otherwise, all my standalone and PCVR with Link and Air Link seem to work fine (no performance or bitrate limitations as reported by a few users). Cheers.90Views2likes3CommentsQuest Pro controllers go to sleep too quickly.
Both my partner and I have Quest Pros. We AirLink them to our PCs and play VRChat that way. However, we've both noticed that if we stop moving our hands for only about 10 to 15 seconds the controllers seem to go into a sleep mode which causes our characters in VR's arms to drop straight down to their sides. We can wake the controllers back up by wiggling them a bit but it's quite annoying and jarring to have your arms constantly fall to your sides. It's especially annoying when you're using one controller to scroll through a menu and the other goes to sleep causing the game to enter into one controller mode and then the controller you were using to scroll a menu now moves your character so the menu closes and your character starts moving in some direction. I have looked all over but do not see a way to adjust how frequently the controllers go to sleep when not being moved. I've also tried factory resetting both the headset and the controllers.Solved11KViews8likes25CommentsLeft Quest Pro Controller Won't Pair. Is It Bricked?
I've tried about every method under the sun. Factory resetting, power cycling, pairing in VR, in the mobile app, and connected to the PC. Nothing works. When I first booted up the Quest Pro, I saw the right controller receive a firmware update, but not the left? Is there anything I can do? I don't want my purchase to go to waste.105Views1like4CommentsQuest pro controller failing to pair
as far as ive seen online, this is not a problem only I have. My left quest pro controller is failing to connect to my quest pro itself. It sits there, flashing purple and white. my quest pro during the pairing process gives me a message of "controller failed to pair" HOWEVER, the right controller paired just fine. Ive tried resetting the controller, restarting, keeping it in cameras view, restarting the headset, etc. im unsure of what to do. considering i just spent around $850 on the headset and controllers for christmas.84Views1like4CommentsOut over $28.000 from Meta..Quest Pro.. Just became a piece of expensive plastic
This was bought for me for Christmas since I'm really into creating . Worked great.. 2 months out of waranty..it died. Literally... I was in a game playing.. it went black, didn't shut down, cause I didn't here the jingle. Battery was over half full. Now .. wont turn on... doesn't charge.. doesn't make a sound...doesn't light up anywhere.. its just expensive plastic.. I've done all troubleshooting.. tried reset.. It won't do most of troubleshooting since it won't do anything..Im out alot of money..I am a creator, and can't get anything done.now it's discontinued shortly after it was created. I dont find this right.. I've told them it was a software update I believe since it had just did one.. At first thought no matter if it has warranty or not they should fix cause there software did it.. but now I want it fixed even if I have to pay. They told me they are aware of this problem, but they have no solution.. so I'm stuck. Im very upset.. We had to really save for this expensive device that was discontinued 2 years after creating.. I have literally bought at least one of every device from meta in the past.. sometimes 3 or 4.. I have from all previous headsets 700 purchased games.. my pro headset alone I have over 270x at least $30 a game.. They tell me BUY A NEW ONE.. Where is customer appreciation care?Where is loyalty?I have never used there repair or warranty for any of my headsets.. I AM NOT GOING TO EVER BUY ANOTHER META HEADSET... Being that now days the games are software on line, there is no physical hard copy, I'm out $28.000 from all my different headset types holding games from meta.. averaging games at $40 and over 700 games bought from gear, go ,quest 1, 2 ,and pro.. I can't even recoup any money by selling my games to anyone.. this us a serious problem. They should at least have some kind plan set up for fixing there most expensive product that is discontinued. Hello everyone! I am trying to trigger eye tracking via Unity directly in the Unity Editor with Meta Quest Pro. When I build an apk, eye tracking works. But it doesn't work via Meta Quest Link. I have read repeatedly over the last few weeks that there have been problems with Quest Link. I wanted to ask if anyone has recently been able to implement a project in which eye tracking worked via Meta Quest Link and what tools were used. I have already read that ALVR via SteamVR is an option for transferring eye-tracking data, but I had problems with the packages. (My understanding is that you then need the SteamVR package and XR Interaction Toolkit instead of the Meta All-In-One SDK). As a side topic, another question would be whether it is currently normal for passthrough transmission on the Quest Pro to be very slow with the current Quest Link version, but to work normally with the Quest 3. My preference would actually be to do everything with the Meta Quest Link connection and the Meta Quest All-In-One SDK. However, if passthrough and eye tracking don't work via Quest Link, a solution with SteamVR may be necessary. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I would appreciate any tips.109Views0likes0Comments
