Moving Oculus Store app to App Lab
Hello, I created an app under Quest (Store) when it should of actually been App Lab. This app is still in Alpha. How can I move this application to App Lab without creating a new application? I'd like to keep the same name, but I'm unable to do so trying to create an new app as App Lab.588Views0likes0CommentsApp Lab - Email Invited Users not receiving emails for any product
Hey! We've been working with App Lab for a long while now deploying VR products, and we're running into some problems with user access to our release channels. When we add a new user to any channel, the App Manager will say that they are invited; they will appear on the invited users list, however we will not receive any emails. Was wondering if anyone has been having similar problems, if so some advice would be much appreciated! Thank you!941Views1like0CommentsHow to view number of downloads in developer dashboard?
Is there a way to fetch the number of times our app was downloaded from the store or App Lab? I tried checking analytics and all the menu items appear empty. Also is there a difference with accessing analytics between an app on the Quest Store vs an app on App Lab?940Views2likes0CommentsDoes ownership transfer from App Lab to the Meta Quest Store?
My plan is to sell my game through App Lab while it is in early access. Once it is done I want to release the full version through the Meta Quest Store. My question is this: if the game is purchased through App Lab, will it show as already owned when the game is released on the Meta Quest Store? I want those who invest in the early access to also own the release version whenever it comes out. Thanks!1KViews2likes0Comments!Time Sensitive! There are a few games i would love to play on the quest that are on the rift. I do have a wire to play rift games but the wire gets in the way and it can get annoying when maybe that slight movement of the wire disconnects everything. But games such as: contagion, hell split, spiderman, blade and sourcery and thief simulator i would love to play without using a wire. Please make the rift games be eligible to play on quest WIRELESS, I love these action games and I'm getting bored of the current quest games. Not to mention if people haven't got the games already, especially on the quest it would financially help oculus as they are good games, in my opinion anyways.916Views1like0CommentsOculus Quest - Way to Store
Hi, We have a question about how it's working now. Previous to have a chance to get your app on the Quest Store you needed to send a draft or idea of a project on a very-early level of development to the Oculus team. Oculus wrote it clearly "Send your idea as soon as possible to avoid money spent on product that will not be on Quest Store when we decide this way". Now Oculus gives us Lab Apps - that is a really good solution for some small demo and b2b apps but for other apps like games ? 1) Previous : you send idea and Oculus team say if this title will have a chance to be on Oculus Quest Store before you spend all money and even start think about developing 2) Now : you need to spend all your time and money to create an app that MAYBE will go to Store - Oculus will decide if this is good or not and you don't have any voice in it - this is absurd! We asked support if there are some conditions that the app needs to meet to be promoted from Lab Apps to Oculus Quest Store - Oculus team don't answer this question so we decide to ask other developers. Official answer from Oculus is : “We are constantly sourcing high-quality applications for the Oculus Store, and App Lab provides another way for us to identify potential fit.” Do you now any condition or way to get access to the Oculus Quest Store ?1.3KViews5likes2CommentsApp Labs Approval Broken?
We're not able to update our apps on the Go because it's been sunsetted. Now, we're also not able to get our apps approved through App Labs as they're incredibly backlogged. We've been waiting for months. So what would you advise developers to do to be able to distribute on your platforms? We've been bumped off the Go with nowhere to land on the Quest. Can you please let us update our apps on the Go while you're clearing the backlog of App Lab apps? Or give us a private release channel where we can distribute our apps on Quest? Thanks for listening.624Views0likes0CommentsQuest publishing access application feedback
Hi Guys, I just submitted a game pitch to the Quest store which was rejected. The rejection itself is quite disappointing. However, the real disappointment/frustration comes from the lack of feedback. I'm sure there are others who are in this boat... Here's what Oculus provided as feedback: Thank for taking the time to submit your pitch. After a thorough review of your submission, your application has not been accepted to receive Oculus Quest publishing access at this time. The Rift platform is the perfect environment to try new content, backed by the power of a modern PC, and the large PC-based VR audience. We hope to see you there, The Oculus Team Obviously, this isn't exactly insightful and leaves me scratching my head wondering what I did wrong. My game pitch was well presented with clear explanations of the concept, gameplay, marketing and development effort. The pitch was well written, backed up with concept art by a professional game concept artist. I consulted VR game publishers for feedback on my pitch and received positive responses. Here is one such response: Many thanks for the game pitch, it does look really great - casual, nice art style - could be a superb VR title. In my pitch I introduced the team who would be working on the game which includes 4 in-house , full-time developers with a history of producing VR/AR apps and games. I'm obviously disappointed that they haven't approved my game, but I just can't understand why there is no reason given! Why would I, or any other indie developer want to submit more ideas? It takes time and effort to put one of these pitches together! I get that Oculus wants to make the Quest store a curated experience with great content from big studios. The bar is obviously high... but how is anyone supposed to make that leap successfully without any feedback on your failed attempts?2KViews0likes3Comments
