Newest update is Trash
When I drive before the update, I can play music CarPlay and record at the same time. Now it pauses the music. Also when I picked the one press default to take videos, when I put it in the case and use it again, reverts back to taking a photo. It’s so frustrating. The previous version was way better. Meta please fix asap. It’s unusable and annoying. I don’t even want to use this anymore. anyone else having this same issue? I read one person is also having this issue so far.120Views2likes5CommentsDouble text message confirmation
Hello - when replying to a text message, several times a day at random Meta will say: Meta - “message to X says blah blah blah, ready to send?” Me - “yes” Meta - “message to X says blah blah blah, ready to send?” Me - “yes” Meta - “message sent” I can’t find a pattern, I always speak clearly and it tends to work on the second try. Anyone else have this issue? This has happened across two pairs of gen 2 glasses paired with an iPhone 17 Pro Max.48Views0likes5CommentsRayban Wayfarer Glasses Gen 2 Audio auto adjusting
Just got my gen 2 Rayban Wayfarer Glasses and the audio keeps auto adjusting on its own and changing songs randomly. I have adaptive audio turned off but it keeps adjusting and changing songs on its own. Does anyone know why it would do this?32Views1like2CommentsWake word change confusion v 19.1
For the past two years, I’ve been saying “Okay Meta” as the wake word on my Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses — and it’s always worked perfectly. After updating my Gen 2 Wayfarer to version 19.1, though, the glasses no longer respond properly. The LED lights up and you hear the activation sound, but it shuts off almost immediately. Say “Hey Meta”, the official wake word, and everything works as normal. When I switch to my Gen 1 Headliner, “Okay Meta” still works fine with version 19.1. Has anyone else noticed this change? It may be that Meta was previously more liberal in recognising slight variations of the official wake word, and that the Gen 2 firmware is now stricter in how it maps and processes them. After updating to v19.1, I thought I’d broken Meta Assistant functionality. Relieved I tried a slightly different wake word — more by accident than design! I’m having to unlearn a habit built over the past two years. With the wake word change, saying “Hey Meta” instead of “Okay Meta” feels unnatural and already tough going. After a day of use, I keep saying “Okay Meta”… and nothing happens. It’s surprisingly frustrating when something so small breaks the flow. I really hope Meta makes the assistant more liberal with wake word recognition again. “Okay Meta” is stuck in my mind — and hard to shift.Solved466Views1like17CommentsUpdate 20.0 - what's the deal?
Hi folks, My Meta Ray-Ban Gen 2 have just updated to software version 20.0. The update description just says "bug fixes and performance updates". As someone who works in tech, jumping whole integer (19 to 20) in software version numbers usually signifies a large update. Sadly, I still don't even have the features that were supposed to be in 19.2 - hyper-lapse, longer video recording etc. What. Is. Going. On. I selected Video-first and it works the first few times I use it, then all of a sudden it hear the snapshot sound. I go back to the setting and it’s still set as Video-first, so I toggle to kind of refresh the setting and it fixes it temporarily…Anyone have a fix?14Views0likes0CommentsMeta Ray-Ban Gen 2 Glasses Not Powering On or Charging
Hello everyone, I recently purchased a pair of Meta Ray-Ban Gen 2 smart glasses (prescription lenses) from Walmart. However, I’m facing an issue where the glasses do not power on or charge, despite following all recommended steps. Here’s the situation: The charging case works correctly: when plugged in, the case shows the yellow LED indicating it’s charging. When I place the glasses in the case: No LED appears on the glasses. The case sometimes shows a red LED when open. I have tried: Using the original iPhone 20W wall charger Checking and cleaning the charging pins on both the case and glasses Ensuring the glasses sit properly in the case with magnets snapping in place Attempting the long reset method (pressing the side button for 20–25 seconds) Despite all this, the glasses remain unresponsive. Additional details: Glasses have prescription lenses installed. The box was sealed when purchased, so this is the first use. I’ve tried multiple cables and wall sockets. Power button on the glasses is the slide type, not press-and-hold. Issue Summary: The glasses appear completely dead, and it seems like either the battery is in a deep-dead state or there’s a hardware defect preventing charging/detection. The case itself is functioning normally. Has anyone experienced this issue with Meta Gen 2 glasses? Any suggestions or confirmed fixes would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!264Views0likes5CommentsMeta RayBan Speaker not working!
