About Terms of Use
Recently, my client company provided me with a computer for home use. I wanted to use my personal MetaQuest 3 for remote desktop work, so I contacted the company to request permission to install Mixed Reality Link on the computer. However, they refused, citing a potential violation of their commercial use policy. Is using remote desktop for work truly a violation of their commercial use policy? If so, could you please tell me where that policy is stated? Sorry if it's difficult to read due to translation. Thank you.26Views0likes1CommentMeta Quest Remote Desktop won´t start on Windows 11 Pro
Dear Community, I have a problem running Meta Quest Remote Desktop on Windows 11 Pro 23H2 (Build 22631.4037). Installation with Meta Quest Remote Desktop Setup.msi (Version from 13.8.24) works fine and shows no errors. However, when Opening the App Meta Quest Remote Desktop nothing happens and in the task manager MQRDCrashpadHandler is shown for 1-2 seconds. How can I install the Meta Quest Remote Desktop App on my machine. Happy to collect further data to solve the problem. Thanks in advance, TobiasSolved25KViews0likes70CommentsCan't click anything using Remote Desktop with Quest 3
Remote Desktop connects OK and I see the monitors, but when the pointer or hand tracker hovers over the screen, overlay buttons pop up and nothing can be clicked on the monitor. Can't launch anything, can only switch monitors, change resolution or disconnect. Am I missing a step?Solved22KViews3likes32CommentsQuest 3 Remote Desktop controller issue
My controllers work perfectly fine everywhere except when I use the Remote Desktop app. Ever since I started using that app, my controller becomes extremely glitchy while it’s open and won’t stay active for more than half a second. I have to constantly spam the trigger button just to keep it active and click on things. The moment I close the Remote Desktop app, the controller works normally again. You can clearly see exactly what I mean in the video.Solved229Views0likes3Comments'Aspect Ratio' missing on Remote Desktop
Hey guys! I posted about this a while ago on V81 thread, but didn't get any replies :( I saw Luna and UploadVR posted on Twitter about Remote desktop now allowing you to choose between different aspect ratio on V81, including wide and ultrawide options. - Quest 3's Windows 11 Remote Desktop Gets Aspect Ratio Setting & Ultrawide Mode - https://x.com/Lunayian/status/1976359592058814948 Also, the official doc was also updated (see near the end, on 'Adding and resizing virtual screens'): Use your computer in VR with Meta Quest Remote Desktop | Quest Help | Meta Store I'm on V81, and with my apps updated both on Quest and Windows, but didn't get this option yet. 🤔 Has anyone? Did you manage to activate it somehow? A while ago on reddit a user told me this. So maybe is the Mixed reallity app version for Windows, or my gpu or something 👀 Can someone help me troubleshoot this, please? 🙏🏻314Views0likes1CommentMeta Quest Remote Desktop app doesn't respect startup settings
The Meta Quest Remote Desktop app on Windows 11 insists on launching automatically every time Windows boots even though I have the setting unchecked. It's also annoying that the app doesn't show up under Startup apps in Task Manager so that I can disable it from there. Submitting feedback via the app doesnt work either. It seems to want to open the old Windows Mail app before opening the new Outlook app in Windows 11 23H2, and then does nothing.Solved20KViews12likes17Comments
