How to view my PC from outside home network with Quest 3?
Hi - I would like to use my Quest 3 to view my desktop at home, but when I am not my home network. I can do the same on my home network using 'Virtual Desktop' App, however I wish to do the same when I am away from home using my shop internet connection. is this possible? I am not planning to play a game, rather some light work like read my office emails. thanks909Views0likes0CommentsRemote control Meta Quest 2 with smartphone or laptop
Hi dear members! My name is Diederick Geers and I own a Meta Quest 2. For a project of a client, we are using the Meta Quest VR 2 to create 360 videos for the company's open day. Guests on the open day are going to experience these VR videos through the Meta Quest 2. Although we have supervisors to guide guests in putting on their headphones and adjusting them, we want the playback process of the videos to be as easy as possible. Two things are crucial here, and I'd like to know if these are achievable or not: The videos always have to be in the same orientation (starting point). Some experiences require the guest to walk a specific path, so we need to make sure that the orientation of the video only has to be set up once, and will stay the same all the time, therefore matching the actual walking path in real life. We want the video to autoplay after the guest has put on and adjusted the headset, in the correct orientation. We're thinking about remote controlling the Quest 2 headset, so we are in control over playing the video or adjusting where needed. Is that a possibility, or what alternatives would be available? Thanks!887Views0likes0CommentsRemote accessibility on meta quest 2.
Hi! I am physically disabled and just purchased a Meta quest 2. After using it for a while, it became clear that I had trouble pushing the A button (note: it worked for everyone else). I suggest that meta develops a setting that allows users to hover the cursor over a button for a certain amount of time to select it. Since ability varies from user to user, I would like to make that time adjustable as well. Approximately 1.3 billion people are disabled (source: WHO), adding this feature would make the metaverse a more inclusive place.1.2KViews0likes0CommentsQuest 2 - COVID 19 Solution to Work From Home?
Greetings team, inquiring for some opinions about the use of an oculus quest 2 for enterprise application / productivity in a work from home setting. I'm tracking the oculus for business and that's not what im referring to. Moreso, taking your Quest 2 and using the current App Store apps such as Imersify to perform productive tasks such as word processing, team meetings, or even controlling your desktop just from home. Do you believe the current security settings for the headset could hold up for enterprise use? or the more expensive business option with security team subscription is the way to go. I personally use my headset to test the feasibility of the above actions and I really like the hand tracking and think this is the start of something really great given the pandemic681Views0likes0CommentsOculus Avatar Remote Lip Sync
Oculus Avatar Remote Lip Sync does not work. I am using a photovoice2. Local is good. The problem that I went through in the past came again. Is there a workaround? Please explain a bit concisely. If you send the sound data to the Volume Amplitude in OvrAvatar, I think it might be somehow... I'm not sure how to send it. I tried to disassemble the Oculus Sample Scene and use Voip together, but the project is expanding. Please help me get out of this project. please.1.8KViews0likes1CommentOculus Remote Unity support.
Hi I'm a developer and I've got a DK2 at the moment. I still have to wait 2 months before I wil recieve my CV1. As I'm already supporting the CV1 one of the question I get asked a lot is support the CV1 remove. So my questions. Firstly is there any way to just get my hands on just the remote so I can support it and my second question is are there any guides or information that could help me support it blind in Unity. If this question has already been asked I apologies. It's a bit difficult developing on hardware you don't have yet. Looking forward to your suggestions. Phil2.5KViews0likes5Comments
