Collecting payment outside App Lab
I thought I read that Oculus won't allow us to collect income/payments for app lap apps outside of the Oculus platform without some kind of agreement with them. But I can't seem to find that, and I just now ran across this post that says we can sell keys without giving any revenue to Oculus: https://developer.oculus.com/blog/oculus-distribution-channel-guide/ We're building education apps and want to be able to sell "bulk" licenses to schools, for example, in addition to sales to individuals on app lab. Can somebody point me to the right answer/resources/docs on this issue? Thanks in advance!SolvedOther Worlds Sale: Save Up to 60% Off Dozens of VR Games

Hi! I'm currently seeking funding to develop a game for the Quest. There are various reasons I think our game ideas are strong and may appeal to players, however finding hard data to support our reasons is hard. Typically we could use questionnaires and approach players and maybe developers for information - but this process is long and generally does not result in high quality data. Unlike Steam, it is very difficult to get concrete data on which games are currently popular, where the money is being spent etc. I know we could trawl through the store and get data there? Is there any other resources I could use to support our game ideas?767Views0likes0CommentsApplab Sales and Wishlists
Hi, I've just published my game on Applab. Where can I see the sold units and wishlits? Some dashboards are hidden because of less than 100 copies sold, but how can I track marketing actions if I can't see the current number? Is there a place/API where I can track these, similar to Steam? Thanks1.2KViews0likes1CommentApp Lab Sales Reporting Timing
Hi Meta Community, Trying to figure out if sales in the Oculus Developer Dashboard are based on the date of the actual sale or if there is a delay. For example, if someone actually purchases an app on December 1st, 2022. Would this sale show up in daily sales for December 1st, 2022 or is there a delay for processing? Thanks for any information.596Views0likes0CommentsOculus Store Sales
So, I've been wondering. Does Oculus determine the games which go on sale or do the developers do? I've noticed some games go on sale multiple time and even simultaneously sometimes. Like, Fujii and Nature Trek VR. Meanwhile, some never got on sale. I know Beat Saber won't be going on sale since it never did even on Steam. Hence, I had to buy it at full price. I'm wondering if Pistol Whip will ever go on sale. If it won't, I'll once more be forced to buy it at full price. Am I stingy? I guess some could say that. The reason is that the price isn't localized. On Steam, I could buy three of the same games compared to Oculus Store. I mean, Beat Saber equalled to 13 days of food for me. It might not seem a lot for some people but that's still a lot. TLDR; Will Pistol Whip go on sale?918Views0likes1Comment
