Looking for a simpler controller for Oculus Quest 2 for an art project
Hi Oculus Community, I am looking for an alternative controller to Oculus quest 2 controller for Oculus Quest 2. I was wondering if anyone knows if HTC vive controllers or controllers like shorturl.at/jpxIJ can work with Oculus Quest 2? Our project navigation is pretty simple, just flying forward with button A, grabbing objects with button B, and changing worlds with Button C. I just want to make the user experience as simple as possible for the viewers who come to visit the exhibition, as a lot of them have never played games and can be from three year olds to 90 years old. Plans to merge GearVR app and Go/Rift app?
Hi there, I'm just wondering if there are plans on the roadmap to eventually consolidate the GearVR and standard Go/Rift Oculus apps (at least on Android, of course). I'm doing social development on my company's app right now and I'm finding an annoying snag with people sending my account Event invites because often times it sends off the invite notification to my Samsung GearVR app instead of to my Oculus Go because I have both and it seems to be prioritizing the GearVR client. As it is it's kind of awkward to have both apps installed on my phone. I understand it is an edge case that only applies to developers that someone would have both apps on their phone, both to use the GearVR at all and to manage config settings for their Go and/or their Rift.
My GearVR app crash and i don't see why on my logcat

Oculus Video says an oculus update is required
Ive been using the Gear VR with my s8+ for months now and never had a problem until now. The problem is only with Oculus Video. All the other apps work fine. But when i try to open Oculus Video this text pops up on the screen: A new version of Oculus is required to support your experience in VR. Please turn on WIFI then reinsert device into the headset. I've tried enabling all Facebook and Oculus apps. I've tried clearing the data and cache from all apps and then restarting my phone. I've tried uninstalling all Oculus apps and then reinstalling. Still everything works fine except for Oculus Video, which is the one app I use alot. Please help!

Hello. I'm angry. Samsung has designed the note 4 with malicious intent. It should not fit into the Gear VR higher than version 320. You should buy a Note 5 or higher. But it fits perfectly into the current 323. Necessary are only tiny modifications with a Dremel. But unfortunately the Oculus app does not display all apps. For example, I do not find "AltSpaceVR", or "VISO Places" (and also "Samsung VR")! This is vicious! The problem is that not all apps are displayed, it is also a problem in Google Play Store. But there are solutions for this. Is there a way to display all apps for Oculus for Gear VR? A "crack"? A manipulated Oculus app? An alternative app store that inserts the apps into Oculus? Can I Oculus "pretend" another ID of the phone? Note 5, Note 6 or Note 7? Or a completely different possibility?Violation of "Terms and Conditions"?: Old email in payment? Hello. Is it a violation of "Terms and Conditions" or criminal behaviour, if the PayPal email in my registered payment methods is not actual? A Email (old email etc.) that is actual deleted in my PayPal-Account? What will happen, if the user tries to buy an app with old not actual Email in Payment Methods? Error Message, and no download? Or does the user get the software without paying? I do not want to steel software, but I currently do not buy apps. Actually free apps are enough for me. Hallo. Bei Google Play kann man kostenlose Inhalte ohne Zahlungsmittel herunter laden. Warum muss man bei Gear VR ein Zahlungsmittel hinzufügen? Dafür gibt es keinen einzigen Grund, außer dass irgendwelche Markentingfuzzis glauben so würde man eher auch mal was kaufen. Das wird nicht geschehen, und wenn doch, ist es ein Versehen. Und deshalb will Ich das nicht. Wenn es doch einmal dazu käme, könnte Ich ja immer noch ein Zahlungsmittel hinzufügen. Wenn es darauf keine offizielle Antwort von Oculus/Samsung gibt, weiß jemand wie man das umgehen bzw. manipulieren kann? Eine Fehlerhafte Zahlungsmethode hinzufügen etc.. Reicht es als PayPal-Zahlungsmethode eine nicht bei PP hinterlegte Email anzugeben?
Move the controller along camera vector
Hi I'm quite new in this world. I need to move a controller along the camera vector, without consider the gravity. so If I look the roof I will move in that direction. I'm playing with the script: OVRPlayerController.cs Which line I could modify to avoid the gravity? I'm using unity 5.6 and the GearVr 2 for Samsung. thanks in advance Carlos
