Quest 3 stuck in Battery Saver Mode
So I toggled the battery saver mode 3 days ago and ofc it lowered resolution. I wanted to test the feature. So I toggled it on, saw the change, and then toggled it off. When I turned it off, the resolution stayed the same, the fovetated size stayed the same. Everything was the same as if I was still on battery saver mode (with full charge on the headset). I ignored this issue until today as I cannot deal with it anymore. I restarted the device, resolution is still low, text is pixelated, FOV is terrible, everything warped. The headset thinks I'm in battery saver mode still. Tried toggling it on and off and there is literally no change when turning it on, and of course no change when going back to off. Please help. I'm on v60Solved81KViews23likes330Commentscan't set oculus as active openxr runtime

The Meta Quest Remote Desktop app on Windows 11 insists on launching automatically every time Windows boots even though I have the setting unchecked. It's also annoying that the app doesn't show up under Startup apps in Task Manager so that I can disable it from there. Submitting feedback via the app doesnt work either. It seems to want to open the old Windows Mail app before opening the new Outlook app in Windows 11 23H2, and then does nothing.Solved20KViews12likes17CommentsMeta Quest 3 has terrible graphics quality.
Hello everyone. I received the Meta Quest 3 headset on October 12th. Launched, updated the software. And I started playing games while connected via Oculus Link to my laptop. On October 12, 13, everything was just great. Half Life Alyx has a fantastic level of graphics, a stable frame rate, there was not a single glitch. This morning I picked up the helmet again and noticed that the image quality had become terrible. Even in the lobby menu, it's terrible. There is no clarity of the image, the effect of a ladder and ripples is especially noticeable on the lines. I launched the same Half Life ALyx, and it was a terrible soap. Worse than in Quest 2. Also, while playing Blade and Sorcery, I noticed that the frame rate dropped. Although in the settings it is worth "raising the frame rate to 120 so that where possible". Changing the settings of the frame rate, screen resolution in the Meta-application did not give results. Resetting to factory settings via the Meta application also did not give results. Resetting to factory settings by pressing the off key and adjusting the volume on the helmet then also did not give results, the image is still of poor quality. The lenses are clean, there are no stains. I attach 2 screenshots, but I can assure you that the quality in the screenshots is better than what I actually see. In fact, the reflection in the mirror and the palm tree look much worse than in the screenshots, they are very blurred and pixelated.Solved137KViews9likes92CommentsAllow option for internal speakers to work with headphones connected / 3.5mm / BT
Hello, Quest 3 feedback suggestion: Allow option for internal speakers to work with 3.5mm or bluetooth headphones connected. Reason: For devices such as the Woojer haptic feedback vests, straps or subwoofers, you cannot use the built in speakers due to connecting these either via the 3.5mm jack or bluetooth. Adding this as an option would not hurt anything, heck you could even add a pop-up to note that this setting has been changed and where to find it each time something is connected. Advantage: There would then be no need to use additional headphones when wearing a haptic vest, haptic strap or when using a subwoofer. Headphones can be cumbersome or not even possible to use with most VR headstraps. Many thanks for listening.268Views4likes5CommentsChild accounts bypassing downtime by changing device clock/timezone
As the title states my niece and nephew being the smart kids they are have found a way past device downtime. They know their devices shut off at a specific time every night and they have limited play time through the day. So they roll their headset clocks back. Make it AM instead of PM. Etc. their account is managed and supervised and all provisions are set for their age range as well. I created a test child account on my own meta quest to verify what type of settings access is available and lo and behold they have access to 70% of general device settings. If it doesn't fall under interactions or purchases it's fair game. This is a major security flaw in the family management system and should be able to be changed. Certain apps can be blocked with a pin. But not settings. Here are my thoughts/ideas for remedying this situation; A parent should have to set a pin up to add a child account to the meta quest. Or a child should only have access to the basic quick launch settings only. (Wifi/Bluetooth/brightness/airplane mode/ etc. Is this something that is able to be investigated?Solved122Views3likes5CommentsCan't find more settings to access developer mode on Oculus app (quest 2)
I'm signed up successfully as a developer on Oculus. My headset is synced to my phone app perfectly, it says it's connected. I want to go into developer mode through the app, and every tutorial I find on how to achieve this says I have to access settings to do so. However, there are only two settings options I can find -- Account Settings, and Privacy Settings. Neither of these contains what I'm looking for. Supposedly there is a "more settings" option somewhere, but it doesn't seem to exist. Why won't it allow me to go into Developer Mode on the app?3.2KViews2likes4CommentsFind out if user enabled Switch Oculus and Menu option
Hi, I'm working on a game, and in the tutorials we would like to show the players what can they do with the buttons of the controllers, and in some cases we are waiting until the player press the correct button. I can't find any way to figure out if a player enabled or not the Switch Oculus and Menu option in the Hands and Controllers setting menu on a Quest, so if he did, the game will highlight the menu button on the wrong controller, and it confuse the players, because if they press that, the Oculus Dashboard will pop up instead of the in game menu. My question is, how can I check which button is the menu button? Oculus integration package is already added to the project, but I didn't find any reference to this.1.3KViews1like2CommentsNot able to find "more SEttings" on the mobile App // link my headset into Unity
Hello, I am connecting my headset to my PC and have been trying to move through the developer setup steps at https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/unity/unity-enable-device/ But there is no "settings" or "more settings" on the Iphone Oculus app now and therefore I cannot find the place to turn on developer mode for my headset,. Did anyone find a workaround for this? I tried reloading the app, and looked for other versions of the app, to no avail. Also, although developer mode appears in the settings list on in my headset, I am not getting the Quest 2 option in Unity >Build Settings. I am using a Nexigo cable to connect my headset to my PC, which should be ok-it's being recognized in my headset. Would much appreciate solves for both issues above.1.5KViews1like3CommentsRequest to restore ON / OFF option for “Double Tap to Toggle Passthrough”
It seems that the ON / OFF setting for “Double Tap to Toggle Passthrough,” which existed prior to v81, is no longer available. During gameplay, when adjusting the Quest headset (for example, fixing its position), the double-tap gesture can be triggered unintentionally. This causes the game to switch to passthrough mode, interrupting gameplay and breaking immersion. It would be very helpful if this feature could be configurable again via the settings menu (ON / OFF), as it was before. Restoring this option would greatly improve the experience for users who value immersion, especially during games and interactive applications. Thank you for your consideration. 140Views1like1Comment
