App Sharing / Multi User support for Unity/Quest
Hi. I'm at the final stages of development for an Oculus Quest game and I want to be able to support the multi-user / app-sharing feature, which is think is required for App Labs but I can't find any documentation on this. To clarify, I want to ensure that when a different user logs into the device, the game is still available but has separate settings per user. I'm using PlayerPrefs for saving these settings. Is there anything I need to do in order to support app-sharing or will Unity/Oculus automatically handle this? Any help or documentation links would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Kids sharing Oculus Quest 2
I have two kids and I want to give them Oculus Quest 2 for Christmas, but there's an issue that they need to share this one device and younger one does not have FB account. Can I just use a separate older android phone for using Oculus Quest 2, where I connect Oculus with my own FB account but disable FB app in the phone, so my kids can use oculus when I'm not at home, but will not have access to my real FB? Does anyone know, will it work like that or does the Oculus app need FB app to be available all the time in the phone controlling Quest 2?
Fake Facebook accounts and angry users incoming
I have the quest 1.. i am thinking about buying the quest 2 for multiplayer at home. So many games are blocking dual users with one account (sure) at the same time. This leads to a major problem: Factoryreset every time you have to use another account... its crazy anough but you will need a sec Facebook account and this is crazy!!!
how do you make the videos in the sharing --> gallery post to facebook - not working?
I made some recordings using the sharing--> record feature. the videos appear in the gallery. When you select the videos there is a facebook sharing option. I add my description, choose timeline and share the video. There is a message that the video will be processed but I checked this morning and i have no post. Is there a setting in facebook to allow the positng of videos from third party like oculus quest?
Does the 'screen sharing' feature on Oculus TV even work??!
I'm in a party with a friend, both wearing Oculus Go headsets, both launched into Oculus TV. We can hear each other over the speakers and the dialog says "your screen is now being shared with your party so they can see what you are watching" but this simply isn't true. I can see the videos I'm watching but only on certain apps (like FoxNow) and even in those apps that are compatible my friend is unable to view what I'm seeing on my screen, instead he's just left staring at the selection of available apps. Am I missing something? Does this functionality even work? All I want to do is watch Hulu or something with him but thanks to Rooms being depreciated later in October soon we won't even be able to do that.... How does screen sharing of media apps actually work on Oculus Go TV app?
