Another cannot connect to sidequest post
Firstly I'll start with apologies since there are tons of posts consisting of similar posts. But ive scoured many and not finding answers, other than the usual suggestions. I'm using the charger/data cable from my P30 phone which works flawlessly with the phone. I have the Quest 2 headset. So i followed the guide here - https://uploadvr.com/sideloading-quest-how-to/ - every step very carefully. Installed drivers from here https://developer.oculus.com/downloads/package/oculus-adb-drivers/ - Yes i enabled developer, yes I tried toggling developer several times. Restarting headset while connected and disconnected from pc. I accepted allowed USB debugging and connecting between headset and pc within the headset. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling sidequest several times. Using command I can see it is recognized as an adb device using adb devices, tried kill-server and start-server. At this stage the headset is recognized by the laptop (win 10) as mtp device in that I can see the folders on it. But sidequest is sticking at an orange light and connecting message... Any help please...1.4KViews0likes0CommentsConnecting to Mac
I use a software called Android File Transfer that has worked in the past to allow me to connect my oculus quest to my mac. I tried downloading SideQuest and began following the instructions for connecting the oculus to it. Also, I am in developer mode. The Oculus does not show up on my computer and renders non-existent, and the message for the USB Debugging is also non-existent. I tried turning off developer mode, but the Oculus still does not appear on the mac.40KViews3likes22Commentsusb debuggin window not showing up
of course i followed all the instructions for sideloading apps via sidequest. while trying out different things (like restarting pc and turning different divices on in a different order) i saw the window on the quest for a split second but it changed almost instantly into the window that asks if you want to enable oculus link and it never showed again. i also tried listing the devices in the console with this command C:\Users\Username>adb devices but it told me the command doesnt exist or is wrong. i tried using sidequest to run thta command but that just did nothing then i found a video on yt suggesting to use an ADB Driver installer which i did. but the installer told me that i had the driver already installed.594Views0likes0CommentsHow to get the Device ID
Hey Developers, I got myself a new Oculus Quest and wanted to do some sideloading, but the device ID just won't show up. I enabled the Developer Mode in the app, created a new organisation on the oculus dashboard and installed the Oculus Go ADB-Drivers, but the command "adb devices" is still invalid in the cmd. Please help me!6.4KViews0likes2CommentsSideloading with SideQuest [HELP]
So I got sidequest to add custom songs to beat saber. I got Beat On, and in the setup, it asks me to uninstall beat saber to prepare for modding. I would be fine with that, except for the fact that I bought the Imagine Dragons music pack for $10. will doing this make me lose my music pack?1.8KViews0likes4CommentsSideloaded app from Unity results in 3 dots on screen forever
I'm not sure what is going on but with the computer in my office it works fine when I sideload, but when I sideload a new build from my home computer it stays at 3 dots on the screen. I've tried to rebuild my project using other Unity versions (2018.3.1, 2019.1.8) both results the same. The project is exactly the same on my office computer and home computer. Hope to get a solution to this issue. Thanks1.5KViews0likes1Comment
