Should Quest 3 vr developers become independent from Meta/Facebook?
Title. I think the developers behind the Meta Quest 3 and 2 vr headsets used to be a independent company many years ago called Oculus, but then got bought by Meta / Facebook. I have this feeling that Meta / Facebook, who are the creators of Instagram, Facebook, etc, are preventing the Meta Quest virtual reality headsets (VR Headsets) from being developed fully at full development power. I think Meta / Facebook is preventing its Virtual Reality headset development team from developing VR headsets, and instead prioritizing Artificial Intelligence and other projects. Plus, Meta / Facebook does not actually make money from its Virtual Reality headsets. It makes most of its money from advertising on Facebook and Instagram, meaning Virtual Reality Headsets (VR headsets) such as the Meta Quest 3, are not a significant source of income or profit for it. I heard the VR headset part of the Meta / Facebook company is actually making Meta lose money instead of gain money. With Oculus, the original developers of the Virtual Reality headsets, being bought out by Meta / Facebook, being severely mismanaged and big money spent on a Metaverse that didnt work, and there is already a Metaverse called VRChat, and then potentially being de-prioritized because VR Headsets were being developed and sold at a loss, paired with Meta / Facebooks actual money and income coming from advertising on Facebook and Instagram, Should the Meta Quest virtual reality headset part of Meta / Facebook be sold off and become a independent company, similar to how it used to be Oculus before being bought my Meta / Facebook? Instead of continuing to be run by Meta/Facebook, which actually makes all its money from advertising from Instagram and Facebook, never made a profit from Virtual Reality Headsets to begin with, made wrong decisions and developed some Metaverse thing which was worse than a product that already existed on the market, called VRChat, and is increasingly spending more and more money on Artificial Intelligence? Seems like Meta/Facebook has a virtual reality headset part of the company but actually hates it, and both sides would be better off if Meta Quest vr headsets became a independent company. VR headsets are probably better owned by companies that actually want to develop VR headsets, not a company that makes all its money from doing other things like advertising on Facebook and Instagram, and is increasingly trying to become a Artificial Intelligence company instead. Meta/Facebook leadership might not even want the Virtual Reality Headset (VR Headset) part of the company anymore, and would much rather have it as a seperate company, gone to do their own thing, and goodbye forever.

Basically sen my 2 controller back in paril as was undet warranty and they needed replacing and i had 2 back within a week its been 2 months amd still havent recived my other controller. They are blaming it on np stock. I dont know what to do anymore i paid alot of money for this vr and ive had about enoigh of the same generated emails from them np actual update for 2 months
Urgent: Meta VR Account Recovery – No Access to Email or Phone
I am requesting help to recover my Meta VR account. I am currently locked out and no longer have access to the email or phone number that was originally linked to the account. I still know my username and can provide any other information needed to verify ownership. I am unable to log in, reset the password, or access the account in any way. Please assist me in recovering or restoring access to my account. I am willing to verify any required details to confirm I am the rightful owner.
Cannot upload verification selfie
[Edited 2137GMT as mods thought this was about a Facebook account for some reason?] EDITED TEXT I'm having issues uploading verification selfies on my main META account. When I try to login (to META) it asks for a selfie, but as shown in the screenshot (from the META login page) it won't let me upload. As I can't upload a selfie I can't access META support, which means I've had to create a brand new META account just to get support. 😤 Can you please help? My main META account is (apparently I can't tell you) and the email is (again apparently I can't put that here, even if I'm comfortable putting it here), I've been on facebook since pre-2009, and I think META is owned by FB so there shouldn't be any issues verifying me with all that user data. Also the META 3 I got today says no support available, can you tell me why? Is horizon world going away for vr users?
After the events of a couple of months ago when meta announced that they were going to pull back on horizon world and then deciding not to, I thought we might be ok. Yesterday day I heard just the opposite again and that quest headsets will no longer be able to access worlds. Can someone please explain what is going on and if this is true or not as I have a world in horizon I always go to on my headset
