Oculus Spatializer on Mac
I love developing for Quest on the Mac, everything works super well except for... Oculus Spatializer. I've been in touch with Oculus support on this issue. Oculus support's reply was that they don't have a mac. Basically it doesn't work on Intel mac and crashes on Silicon machines. Does anyone know how to get the Oculus Spatializer on mac working? If I install "Oculus Integration" from the Unity Asset Store, I get many Spatializer errors but it will build. Oculus Spatializer won't appear in the Audio settings of unity. When I import Oculus Integration and then import Oculus via XR Management in a new 2020.2 project I get the following error: GUID [a57801270cf689244b48012cf9db1713] for asset 'Packages/com.unity.xr.oculus/Runtime/Android/arm64/libAudioPluginOculusSpatializer.so' conflicts with: 'Assets/Oculus/Spatializer/Plugins/Android/libs/arm64-v8a/libAudioPluginOculusSpatializer.so' (current owner) We can't assign a new GUID because the asset is in an immutable folder. The asset will be ignored. Hey guys, Hoping someone can lend a helping hand or share if they are having an similar issue. After updating the oculus spatializer to 1.39 I suddenly have sound but the Oculus SDK seems to fail to initialize. So, I am unable to see or move around in the Rift headset I am using. If OpenVR is listed as secondary SDK, then unity will switch to this... where there is no issue with sound or movement. However, I would like to continue to develop using the Oculus SDK and not OpenVR. This issue did not seem to occur before update. In the case that I reject the spatializer update, I am unable to get any sort of sound to work in game. All sounds work in editor, prior to pressing play button, and even show as playing when in the Master Volume if output is set to master in an AudioSource Component, though still no actual sound to be heard. I have checked that nothing is muted etc... Seems like an issue between the SDK and 1.39 spatializer but cannot find any similar stories reported in forums etc. Any ideas are much appreciated... thanks.1.5KViews0likes1Comment360 video with spatial audio in Unity
Hi everyone, Is anyone here familiar with integrating a 360 video in Unity with ambisonic or 5.0 audio? I know that you would need to place the video on a sphere using a 3rd party movie texture plugin, but I'm not sure if I would need to use TBE's plugin in Unity or another plugin to spatialize the audio. I have used milkVR for a 360 video with a 5.1 mix, but would like more control over distance and perspective. Any help or insight on a workflow would be appreciated. Thanks!1.5KViews0likes1Comment
