Vrchat crashing saying I have no memory when I have plenty.
My vrchat has been crashing a lot recently saying I have no memory for the game when I have over 200GB free of storage. I've restarted the headset fully, cleared all cache in the game and nothing has worked, I really don't wanna have to factory reset it just yet incase there is another way I can fix it. Does anyone have any suggestions?21KViews0likes20CommentsNot Enough Space - But I do?!
So for the past 2 hours I've been trying to set up my new Oculus Rift that I just got, but its been a hassle. Now whenever I run the software the program says, "Not Enough Space The oculus rift need 6.37 gb of storage." Thing is I have a spare 437 gb drive that I want to us for it and it is in a D:\. Although I installed the software through my D:\ Drive it keeps downloading the contents to my C:\ Drive and is overall annoying. I am trying to move the files by using the instructions on the support page, https://support.oculus.com/1142129705828091/ ,but nothing happens it just opens the folder and doesn't move it... !? Can I get some assistance?Solved87KViews1like60CommentsQuest 2 - Unknown Sources occupying 5.2gb of my storage
Hi Folks, I had no reply from the support section, so I'll try to post it here too.. I have a Quest 2 headset 64GB since two three weeks and I love it, I never connected it to the laptop or to side quest. Well, I'm starting having storage issues, but that's expected. What really concern me is that I've 5.2GB of Unknown Sources and I want to get rid of it, storage is precious! I've read around and this seems to be a common issue with no easy solution, someone suggested factory reset (and consequentially losing most of the saved progress, which sounds crazy to me...)! What is occupying this space? Are they the refunded app (which i did not delete manually) incorrectly removed from remote like I read on some forums or what else? How do I delete these files without downloading side quest or performing a factory reset? Anyone experiencing similar issues? As suggested I already tried to look into the home, if in the drop down list there are external sources so i can select them and uninstall them, but there is no unknown sources in the drop down list, the last element i can see is "tutorials"... Why such big bug has not been officially addressed by the Oculus team yet?1.5KViews0likes2CommentsQuest 2 64gb same price as 128gb
I was one of the last people to get the 64gb version of the quest 2. A day after I got it, it got removed everywhere. Then they came out with the 128gb model. I find it really unfair and inconvenient. I have bought a ton of games from your store and continue to but I am only able to keep a few since I have to delete to download the rest. I mean, for the same price of the 64gb model you get double the storage. The 128gb model was never even released when I ot my quest. I mean they removed all of the 64gb models one day and then added the 128gb one. I feel as a ton of 64gb users we should be able to send ours back for the double storage that is the exact price as ours. Maybe even a frickin STORAGE DEVICE to add more.792Views0likes0CommentsNew Issue Accessing Expansion Files / AVPro video playback
I've had a new issue crop up in the last two weeks across multiple apps with videos failing to play. Previously everything worked fine. This has occurred in different apps after 1. Updating Oculus Integration to 28.0, and 2. Updating minimum Android build level to 23 The facts: Unity 2019.4.17f1 AVPro Video 1.x Have READ_EXTERNAL and WRITE_EXTERNAL in the manifest Calling videos from /sdcard/Android/obb/com.[org].[app]/ Have tried h.264, h.265, both as .mp4 and .mkv; have confirmed with videos I've gotten to play in other apps I've also gone into the app's Permissions in the Quest and though I requested Storage access in the manifest it was set to "Denied". Changed this to no effect. Does this have to do with the Oculus Native Video Player screwing with AVPro? Or is it a new permissions problem?Solved2.7KViews1like3CommentsDo I need the bigger storage size if I have the link cable?
I plan on using the Quest 2 with the link cable because I have heard that the quest 2 has a better refresh rate than the rift-s and also if I want I don't need the PC which means I can bring it to a friend's house easily. If I have the 64GB version of the Quest 2 and a link cable then that would mean that the computer can hold all of the games that don't fit on the headset right? I don't need all that storage to show friends a few games, whereas at home I do, but I don't want to spend the extra money if my PC can front that storage.4.1KViews0likes1CommentBug: Storage menu hangs
Hello, I'm currently on update v.19 on my Quest and the following bug report is also observed on earlier versions, but I failed to report it until now. It appears that when I navigate to settings > storage menu, once I open the storage menu page, this page "hangs". There are not any information or results shown on this page and the storage bar is grayed out. After it hangs for about 8 seconds, the Quest automatically changes to main menu. My Quest should have around 28GB free storage space left. My browser or recording (i.e. cache) is never used. Also never used SideQuest or 3rd party apps. I use my Quest mainly with Link for flightsimming though. Don't know if that is a factor. This used to work on my Quest since its day 1 release and I have observed this issue since recently, but are unable to remember since which update exactly. Please help?896Views0likes2Comments
