Can I connect my Quest 3 controllers to my Quest 2?
I have Quest Pro Controllers that I have been using on my Quest 2 (Great!!) I purchased a Quest 3 and will be moving the Quest Pro Controllers to it. I would like/prefer to pair my Quest 3 Controllers to my Quest 2 Headset. Currently this is not an option to select in the App. Are there any plans to allow Quest 3 Controllers to work on a Quest 2 (similar to how the Pro Controllers work on Q2)? What would be the reason to not allow/support it? Thank You! I just bought a quest 3. It's amazing and i love it but i want to experienced all the possibilities and i'd like to show to my wife how incredible it is. I tried to show her some 360 vidéos in YouTube VR but the quality was horrible. So, Except video games, what is the most "wahou" experience you had with the VR, so far ? Tourism, vidéo, film, walk, etc... I don't really care but it has to be outstanding !15KViews0likes9CommentsExplorting 3d Scans made on the Quest 3
It would be really cool to be able to export the models and textures made while 3d scanning environments using the quest 3. This would allow us to import the scans into a 3d modelling program like blender, to be able to set them up for use in another VR game or experience. In a way it would be helping expand the content available in the metaverse by allowing users to get creative, even if the 3d model isn't particularly high detail, users could add in missing detail via a 3d modelling program. We could also add extra detail by modifying the textures, normal maps, height maps ect. I would love to be able to make a map out of my gaming room for use in a social VR game! People used to make maps in CounterStrike years ago called RAT maps, where they would model an environment where the player was tiny playing in a massive ( to them). Having this feature available would make is much more accessible to create fun content like that. Progress is good ^_^, and the less limitations we have for contributing to the content available the better! Unlock peoples creativity ^_^2.2KViews0likes1CommentVirtual Glasses
I'm not certain if this counts as accessibility or not, but it's in the same ball park. If all glasses do is warp the way that light hits our eyes to make our vision clearer, then do you think it would be possible to code a VR headset to take a glasses prescription and change the way it presents images to mimic the glasses and clear their vision in the virtual space? That we have glasses prescriptions means that we know how those measurements effect our vision, so why can't we program the headset to make those changes to how it presents images to us? If you combine that with eye tracking and foveated rendering, then it doesn't seem like it should be impossible.1.4KViews0likes0CommentsMerging our Oculus UserVoice Boards onto our Community Forums
Exciting news everyone! We’re going to be merging our suggestions boards on Oculus UserVoice over to our larger Oculus Community forums. We love hearing what all of our users have to say, and we’re looking forward to bringing these two communities together. All of the posts, comments, votes, and statuses will be moved over to a new ideas section that we’ll be opening up on the Oculus Community forums. This change will happen starting December 8th. We’ll also be migrating all Oculus UserVoice accounts with email addresses that match Oculus accounts over to the Oculus Community forums. If you have an existing account on the Oculus Community forums and on Oculus UserVoice, both under the same email address, the accounts will be merged automatically and all of your posts, comments, and votes will be moved over without you having to take any extra steps. You can find and change your Oculus UserVoice account’s email address by logging in and selecting Settings underneath your username. The email address will show in the sidebar. If you don’t want your posts on UserVoice to be associated with your Oculus account, you have two options: Change your Oculus UserVoice email so it doesn’t match your Oculus account email. Do this by logging into your UserVoice account and under Settings, edit your email address and set a different email address from the one you are using on your Oculus account. When the migration happens, your UserVoice posts, and comments will be moved over but they’ll be marked as an unknown author on the new forum and will not be connected with any account and won’t be claimable in the future. OR Remove your username and email on Oculus UserVoice by deleting your account. To do this, you can log into your account on Oculus UserVoice, go to Settings, and on the sidebar, select Delete Account. Once you’ve done this, the content of your posts will remain and be transferred over to the new forum, but there will be no username attached, and no way to recover the post ownership in the future.4.1KViews4likes3CommentsAn Oculus Newbie
Hey all! I've been playing on a PSVR for about two years now, and I've been having and absolute blast. Recently, I purchased an Oculus Rift S and cannot wait to get started with it. I wanted to come on here and ask the community for some good starter games I should pick up, as you guys have way more experience than me in the PCVR world! Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!1.3KViews0likes6CommentsDifferent L/R Eye Black Levels?
I may be the only one to have this problem but my headset seems to have farker blacks in my right eye than my left. This was made a lot more obvious when I dropped the brightness in the new Universal Menu. I cannot check if it persists at higher brightnesses since I have yet to get the new update that apparently fixes the Universal Menu. I wonder if anyone has this problem and if there is a software fix Oculus can implement to help with this (i.e. a setting to control the black levels of eack eye independently with a slider "until the logo is barely visible" type thing).453Views1like0Comments
