The "Tell us what you think" popup is too frequent
I was in the forum for less then 5 minutes and have the popup "Tell us what you think" already 6 time. I thing when I say "no, thanks" one time should be enough. This behavior I consider this as harassment so please make it stop.962Views1like2Comments[Quick Project Survey] Looking to create a no-code, accessible tool for development in VR/AR.
Hello everyone! We’re a group of students in the UK that are looking to create an online tool to make developing VR worlds and apps much easier and more accessible (think drag and drop)! We’re in early stages, so we generated a quick survey and would love to get everyone’s thoughts on the idea and any potential features we can implement. It shouldn’t take too much of your time! Wide participation would be very much appreciated and means we can create a product that everyone can find useful. Greetings, I'm a student at the end of my second year going towards my 3 year education for a candidate degree in Computer Science. This survey is part of an investigation which is part of my thesis regarding authentication possibilities within the field of Head-mounted displays. This is aimed at any software developer working with either Virtual, Augmented, Mixed Reality. Takes roughly 5 minutes to answer it. The answers are anonymous. You may submit your answers here: Survey Feel free to share the link with other developers as more answers give better accuracy. Your help is greatly appreciated, thank you!1.5KViews0likes2CommentsOculus console suggestion
Hi, Now you have a Quest 2 which has the power of a ps4 (basic not Pro) but which is restricted by the Quest 1 (future releases compatibility). I have a suggestion / question for you: If facebook/Oculus released a device, would you be ready to buy a powerful VR dedicated console like a ps5 capable of running all the big VR games like half life Alyx (same Price as PS5). This device could be plug into the TV like an android TV / Nvidia shield (but really more powerfull). Provide access to Netflix and more (like every android/apple/amazon box). There could be a built-in camera that can be used for second tracking (more precision or feet and mouth tracking) / for using facebook portal / for streaming on twitch. We could have access to the steam catalog for cough gaming and finally, with a 60Ghz Wifi, it would be possible to play any VR games wirelessly and easily on all Quest without computer. (no virtual desktop, no cpu or gpu too slow, etc.) We can imagine the use of this console to facilitate "party game" like or to make games like phasmaphobia playable locally. Then you can play where you want with your Quest but, thanks to the crossbuy systeme, when you want and when you are in the good room, you can play these game in better quality and you can play all the other powerfull VR game which currently need a big PC. Then my question is : in 2021 or in 2022, would you prefere to buy an Oculus Quest 3 with small new features (upgrade of second version) or would you prefere to buy an Oculus Console which upgrade all the past and future Quest ?550Views0likes0CommentsEasy Charging station
