Apple TV Streaming to Meta Quest 3S
How do I access Apple TV on the Meta Quest.3S. I have a number of purchased movies and TV series on Apple TV that I would like to watch with my 3S. I don't want Apple TV+ just Apple TV and my purchases. If I use the browser it only seems to bring up Apple TV+, not my purchased movies. From what I can see it's only possible with an Apple TV (I have one) and linking it with various cables and a video capture device connected with cables to the 3S. This seems an overly complex process. Surely there must be a wireless solution or the Apple TV app is made available. One of the main reasons for me purchasing the device has been to watch movies so I am currently very disappointed I am not able to view my Apple TV movies and TV show purchases.7.5KViews0likes4CommentsWhat was your favorite TV show(s) growing up?
SpongeBob and the Fairly Odd Parents are some of my all-time favorite shows still airing today. But if we're going way back, Brandy & Mr. Whiskers, Hey Arnold!, and Courage the Cowardly Dog would still be on my TV. Those shows were *chef's kiss*4.3KViews7likes26CommentsStream Meta Quest 2 to Apple TV without iPhone?
Hello there, I am a new user of the Meta Quest 2. Is there a way to directly stream to an Apple TV without having to first stream to the meta quest mobile app on my iPhone and then use screen mirroring? It's especially complicated if you already have the headset on and quickly want to screen cast to the TV. The Apple TV is connected to the same wifi network and airplay is turned on too. Unfortunately, it doesn't finds the Apple TV under the list of available devices shown to my headset. thanks in advance.21KViews1like9CommentsCan't watch movies or tv through my PCVR link desktop
I have started using the desktop for my PC through my Quest 2. I wanted to be able to play games and pin a movie while playing. For some reason, it always goes black when I put on movies. Even ones I own on YouTube. Regular videos work fine. It appears to me that the sites are treating the Quest 2 like recording software and are blocking the feed. The movies are playing regularly on my monitor when I look under my headset. How do I fix this?1.5KViews0likes0Comments360 photos have black vertical line
Hi Community, This is my firs time posting in the forum so apologies in advance if I am not doing it properly! I am creating 360 photos using my mirrorless camera and stitching the photos on my PC. I export the photo with a 2:1 ratio, 5400x2700 pixels (quest 2 max resolution is 5408x2736). I then upload it to the pictures folder and access it from the TV app-> my media. Then I use 360 projection. The result is not too bad, however seems like the TV app doesn't fully close the 360 projection and leaves a vertical line of black pixels. This happens to all the photos I am creating. I have tried different pixel ratios and always the same problem. Do you have any recommendations to solve this? Thanks in advance! When viewing videos, the interface goes away. When viewing photos though, everything fades away except for the background, which then stays right in front. Tapping anything else or waiting X amount of seconds for idle does not make it go away either. This issue started to occur on the most recent update, as the interface for Oculus TV changed. Hopefully this is the right spot to post bugs; if not, whoops, my bad, I'll post it elsewhere. 😸Solved3KViews2likes9CommentsChromecast with Google TV
I'm buying my quest 2 soon, I'm gonna pick up a "Chromecast with Google TV" as well. It's basically an Android TV stick made by Google, just came out. I know it can cast to a regular chromecast, but can the Oculus quest 2 cast to the new one as well? I would like my family to be able to see what's being played.1KViews0likes2CommentsYUR - v16 Firmware Update - Announcement
Hey this is Dilan from YUR. For all our users that like YUR, we wanted to make a general announcement that the V16 firmware disabled the method we used to render the persistent overlay in our app, this was done due to security reasons outside of the scope of YUR. We have been receiving a lot of messages and reviews who are upset about this. However, the app still works. In addition, a lot of developers were coming to us asking if they can develop apps with this overlay functionality. During a time where people are stuck inside, using the Quest as a supplementary fitness device is a great value for a lot of people. A few key points to get across: 1. Persistent notifications and the overlay were a requested feature by developers and users. 2. We never used the method for anything beyond fitness metrics. 3. We respect the security and performance limits of the Quest and ToS. 4. We and several developers are looking for methods of legitimizing this type of application. Thank you Oculus and our users for your support.1.1KViews7likes1CommentDoes the 'screen sharing' feature on Oculus TV even work??!
I'm in a party with a friend, both wearing Oculus Go headsets, both launched into Oculus TV. We can hear each other over the speakers and the dialog says "your screen is now being shared with your party so they can see what you are watching" but this simply isn't true. I can see the videos I'm watching but only on certain apps (like FoxNow) and even in those apps that are compatible my friend is unable to view what I'm seeing on my screen, instead he's just left staring at the selection of available apps. Am I missing something? Does this functionality even work? All I want to do is watch Hulu or something with him but thanks to Rooms being depreciated later in October soon we won't even be able to do that.... How does screen sharing of media apps actually work on Oculus Go TV app?533Views0likes0Comments
