New Firmware UI with Poor Gaming Experience (Without Update Check)
Hi, I would like to request an update for your firmware. After updating to your latest firmware or new design, the UI looks really high-tech and great. But the problem is, we cannot know or find any apps that need to be update, just like in previous models or UI, there is a tag for "Waiting for update", but it is gone now. Every time when I start the device, I even wait for a few minutes, I would still do not know that which apps need to update. For example, the game for Real VR Fishing nearly updates per week, and I also played it once or twice per week. When I switch on your device, my first thing would be to check any apps need to be update in the past. But I cannot do it now! I started the game and cannot find the latest contents and after exit the game, it starts updating! It is just wasting my time!! Or am I missing something or function in your latest UI. If so, I apologize and hope somebody can teach me how to check for apps update. Thanks!Solved128Views0likes6CommentsNew Quest 3 locked on software update, impossible to fix.
Hi guys, I bought my first Quest 3 today. When I turned it on, it started a software update but it gets stuck there — the device keeps turning on and off without completing the update, and I can’t get past that screen. I haven’t even set up my Meta Horizon account yet, and since I didn’t purchase my Quest 3 through the official Meta store, when I try to enter my device’s serial number on the website it gives me an error. I tried doing the sideload update (the only fix I found on the internet) by holding the volume down and power buttons on the Quest 3. But when I select my device in the browser, I get a message saying: “your device is not supported, please try reconnecting your devices.” Weird cause both my PC and Chrome are detecting it as Quest 3. I also tried disabling adblock, deleting caché and cookies, incognito mode, other browsers, other PCs, other cables, connecting it on different times, etc. There is not a single thing I haven't tried. (Every single one of these attempts were done while having 50% battery. There’s nothing else I can do, literally — I’ve already tried factory reset several times as well. Do I need to return my device? I'm submitting this post so support can help me. I'm quite desperate, I don't see my issue anywhere on google and I spoke to support via Whatsapp and everything they told me to try, I already had.3.7KViews2likes11CommentsNew update
This more update where you can’t go back to the old environments like in your own house comfy type feeling is so bad like horrible update they have all of us stuck in the garbage loft with minimal environments RETURN THE OLD UPDATE WHERE THE META FELT LIKE HOME NOT A PRISON114Views1like6CommentsI have a Meta Quest 3 that seems to have a provisioning/pairing issue after a failed system update.
Here is what happened: The headset originally got stuck during an update and became unusable. I entered recovery mode and manually sideloaded an official OTA update using ADB. The update installed successfully and now the headset boots normally again. I can reach the initial setup screen (language, Wi-Fi, pairing code, etc.). However, I cannot complete the pairing process in the Meta Horizon app. Current symptoms: The Meta Horizon app always fails to pair with the headset. Bluetooth permissions and nearby device permissions are enabled. I already tried factory reset multiple times. I also tried reinstalling the Meta Horizon app. The headset connects to Wi-Fi correctly. ADB recovery/sideload works normally. When I check the serial number on Meta support pages, it says the device has “no support available”. The serial number is detected correctly in recovery/ADB. Recovery device info: Secure Boot: yes Lock state: locked Build variant: user Model revision: eureka Thx! :)66Views0likes1Commentv2.3 and still no navigator UI?? what gives?
Since the navigator ui was introduced I liked it a lot. I used it while on the PTC and was 100% relived that i didn't have to have the ugly grey bar with limited slots for apps i actually use just hanging there all the time. Then an update (which was more a downgrade) removed it and brought the old universal menu back which sucked. Then i hear the navigator is replacing the universal menu permanently - Awesome! except its been several months and 3 version updates since then and my quest is STILL using the ugly menu that is useless to me because i cant put more than one app i actually use on it and its just an eye sore when i using 2d apps. WHY? i get your goofy rollout process but its been months and months and updates keep coming but somehow not updating the UI? theres not even an option to choose? what is this bs?550Views2likes9CommentsMy headset is stuck in a boot loop - Quest 2
Hi guys, My quest 2 has been working perfectly since i got in on 22nd of october. Now suddenly it will not boot up anymore. When I turn it on, it shows the oculus logo, stays there for a few seconds, then shuts down for a few seconds, and then shows the logo again, shuts down, logo, shuts down.... The only way I can really stop this, is by acessing the usb update menu on one of the loops and selecting "Power off". I have tried all the options and they do nothing. If I select "boot device", it starts the boot loop again as before. The same thing happens if I select "factory reset". Once I confirm that i want to factory reset it, it just goes back into the boot loop, and nothing else happens. So yes, i did try to factory reset it, but it just doesnt work. Any ideas and tips would be greatly apreciated.Solved47KViews1like42CommentsStuck in old update
I was having trouble with an online game when I gave up and had to factory reset. Ever since the factory reset my oculus is stuck on a previous update. When I check for update it says all up to date. This also forces other games to be in an old update. oculus 3s126Views0likes6CommentsDeoVR busted again with new update
I for the longest time thought that DeoVR was to blame, but since the firmware update a few days ago, I realize it's been the Quest firmware updates hysterically tinkering with head tracking the whole time. I'm on Quest 3, but i had the same issue on Quest 2 - suddenly and without warning, the 6ofD head tracking and dome scaling just becomes "wrong" out of nowhere. E.G., tracking your head forwards or backwards will zoom appropriately, but every other dimension will translate WAY too much as a result, making the video you're watching hypersensitive to tiny little micro motions you don't even realize you're making with your head, rendering almost anything with video or passthrough completely useless. Previous firmware it was calibrated better, it almost seems like it goes normal>bad>normal>bad, with each update. You're basically having to choose between things looking wrong in one way, or looking wrong in a different way. From update to update, It's never consistently wrong, and it's not the app. I keep several versions of the app on hand to jump between whenever this happens, even though it usually doesn't fix anything. It makes more sense now that I know it's not DeoVR, because sometimes I'd be on the same exact version and turn the headset on and just feel like everything suddenly looked horrible where it didn't just hours prior. The color grading gets weird, the passthrough feed and the video clash colors forcing me to turn up night mode so everything is an analogous orange, but which totally defeats the purpose of having color passthrough at all. I guess my question is, why are we messing with the head tracking and color grading at all, when clearly we know that we know what looks good and what doesn't since every alternating update gets it right? It's almost like I'm being pranked, or like I'm being manipulated into engaging here on the forums, or being baited into getting upset and doing unwitting advertising by complaining online, or something. Why is the meta for our updates snip snapping between the normal product I paid for and an insane clown world version with no explanation? This most recent update the tracking is so bad I get motion sickness just IN THE MENU without even opening an app or game at all. How much the passthrough feed moves relative to the very slightly translating HUD menu I'm trying to read makes me feel like I need to immediately rip the headset off and find a bowl to puke in, and I've almost never gotten motion sickness in my entire life. Anyway, really hope we can fix it, thanks for your time.323Views0likes6CommentsMeta quest 3s stuck in usb update mode

It was working fine and then stopped. It tried to do a firmware update and it will make it to 66% and then reset, does this 3 times and then fails. Tried all of the “fixes” I.e. unpair, factory reset, batteries, but it will not work. Any other solutions??Solved26KViews2likes49Comments
