Thinking on upgrading
Currently I have the Meta Quest 2, my main use for the headset is to use with racing sim iRacing. My thoughts on upgrading is to opt for the Quest 3 not the 3s, the 3s seems to be close in spec to the Quest 2 with the exception of the processor speed which I don't think I would benefit from using it iRacing. Has anyone in similar situation done a upgrade and went to the 3s over the 3 ? let me know if my thinking makes sense. Thanks25Views0likes2CommentsUpgrade Meta SDK version with a lot of conflicts
Hi all, Since ~2020, I've been using the Meta (Oculus) SDK tool to create a Virtual Experience on Unity. But recently I had a very frustrating experience. In my development process, I faced some deprecated features which are replaced by another, that didn't work. (E.g. "Throw when ungrab" feature from the Grabbable component) I decided to upgrade my package from the 66 version to the 68. Now I have a lot of errors and warnings. My app doesn't function at all. Why don't you leave some components with the "Deprecated", or "Legacy" tag, and suggest what is better to use instead? I even can't use your own prefab "OVRInteractionComperhensive", as it has broken scripts. Also, the documentation is deprecated, because it is related to the oldest version of SDK. Should I downgrade SDK back to 66? Or maybe someone faced with more nice solutions? Unity version: 2022.3.32f1 Thanks in advance and best regards.Solved1.3KViews0likes1CommentYou Can Still Upgrade To Win10 for nought...
Not that you'd want to of your own volition, but on occasion, you have little choice. I have an Acer Aspire with Win 7 Starter on it and I now need to put Win 10 on it, but even us disabled users can't officially get a free key now. However, it turns out that as long as you have a valid activation key for 7 or 8, you can use it for 10. I got this info from Forbes: https://www.forbes.com/sites/ianmorris/2018/01/26/how-to-get-windows-10-for-free-in-2018/#5ed1e1b65145 and it seems to be still valid. I'm just downloading 10 now, to a USB stick - I'll confirm it works later today (or not - but I reckon it will).1.4KViews0likes8Comments
