Disable USB Audio Permission Request
I use a custom unity-application to display the usb camera input. But in order to connect the USB camera and charge the Meta Quest 3 at the same time, I have to connect the mq3 to a docking station. Every time I do this, I get a "USB Audio permission" request. When I interact with this request, the application crashes. How can I disable this request?965Views0likes4Commentsnot able to accept usb dialog

I need help getting my Quest 2 to connect to my MacBook Pro via USB because, unlike this guy - https://neerajjaiswal.com/how-to-setup-for-quest-2-development-on-mac-using-unity-without-bootcamp, I can't get the connection to work. I've followed the instructions in the link above, but just to summarise: - I have verified my developer Oculus account, where I've set up an organisation for app' development - I have the Oculus phone app', which has connected to my Oculus 2, where it's enabled developer mode - The system settings on my Quest 2 show a developer section, and I've enabled the USB connection dialogue - I've installed the Meta Quest Developer Hub (MQDH) and tried ADB drivers from Unity, Android SDK, Android File Transfer, and MQDH itself - I can see the USB C cable connects because whenever I plug it in, I get an "extended battery" notification However, the EFFING ALLOW DEBUGGING NOTIFICATION NEVER APPEARS. GRRRRR Meanwhile, I've done a hard reset on the Quest 2 several times and bought three cables. I've also tried SideQuest. I've installed large complex systems for a living, but I don't reckon anything has proved as effing difficult as me trying to get a simple USB connection between Quest 2 and my MacBook so I can create a VR scene running in Unity - HELP!Solved2.8KViews3likes7CommentsQuest 2 not shown in Windows Explorer; ADB works fine
I am trying to connect the Quest 2 to a laptop over USB to copy files, but it does not show up in Windows Explorer. I started with the provided cable in a USB-C port, but then the device was also not recoginised by ADB. When using a regular USB port on the laptop the device was recognised and Windows showed Ready to use, but it does not show up in Windows Explorer. I then started adb and it first came up as unauthorised and after allowing connection in the headset it came up as device, so that works fine. But it still did not show up in Windows Explorer. I found this support page https://support.oculus.com/795778631158860/ that tells me to check the driver in Windows device manager. It did have a warning sign so I tried to update the driver. First automatically, but that gave no update and then followed the steps in the support page. But the MTP USB driver was not in the list. Tried several options to install the MTP driver: The MTP Porting Kit, did not work The Media Feature Pack, but got the message that this update was not for this Windows version (the page unfortunately has no informtion on what version I should use, so I just picked the latest one) Found this site https://thegeekpage.com/fix-mtp-not-working-in-windows-10/ and tried options 1 and 5, but no effect either Tried disabling Developer mode, as I found on Reddit somewhere (sorry can't find the page back), but that also did not help. The weird part is that a week earlier I connected the headset to another laptop and it worked perfectly. Connected over regular USB, Allow connection and presto, the Quest 2 showed up in Windows explorer. Could copy files and install the test version of our apps. So I'm out of ideas and I hope someone can help me. I realise the problem is most likely in the laptop and not in the Quest 2, but maybe someone has seen this before and found a solution.2.2KViews0likes1CommentUSB-C link fails to connect but keeps charging
I'm using Oculus Quest 2 and my PC's system is Windows. And I have opened Developer mode in my Oculus App. I tried to connect my quest 2 to with my PC by USB-C or Double C link, but both of these attempts failed. When I use USB-C port, it keeps charging for my Quest 2, but didn't show any prompt. It's said that it will ask you "Allow USB debugging?". When I use double C port, it shows that "Allow the Device read the data ...". But still failed when I test the connection on Oculus Client on my PC. I'm confused. Any advice or suggestions will be highly appreciated.2.3KViews0likes2CommentsODH USB disconnecting.
I can use the Oculus Link cable and Rift preview successfully, but if I try and use ODH I get repeated disconnections. I get a message Allow USB Debugging? and the RSA fingerprint. I respond to allow it and after 10 seconds or so the message reappears. I have solid USB3 port. I assume the cable is ok because RIft preview works. Note sure what I have to do to fix this? Cable problem? USB2/3? Bug in ODH?1.2KViews0likes2CommentsDeveloping usb perifferals for oculus quest
Hi there! Does anyone know if usb perifferal development is possible with the oculus quest? (Usb devices which can interact with the quest in applications) I know it's based on android and usb OTG showed the working of usb audio and storage. I'm super curious as the usb port would offer a great medium to add control that doesnt involve bluetooth to make perifferals for the quest (that require a headset position reference too).970Views0likes1Comment
