Hand tracking right index pinch counts as button press?
So I have a VRTK (3.3) teleporter pointer setup to work with the controller left button One press. When I setup hand tracking using the OVRHandPrefab and set the Oculus manager to Hands only for some crazy reason doing a Pinch with my right hand activates the teleporter. I cannot figure out why!! The only scripts related to hand tracking i have are on the prefab. And really I want to know HOW its simulating the button press / activating the teleporter so I can use pinches to simulate other button presses! I've been hearing a lot lately about VRTK 4 being convoluted and difficult to use. Yet VRTK 3.3 seems to still get praise. Unity XR seems to be popular as well, but potentially without a lot of features VRTK provides. Hello. :) I am trying to create a physical UI and want to make my hand automatically go into the pointing position where a rigidbody is added. I see that when the "Flex" parameter from the animator is 1.0f and the others are not affected, the hand can interact with physical elements. For the simplicitiy of the user, I want the hand to flex into a pointing position automatically when he is near a physical UI, instead of having to press the grip button. In Star Wars Vader Immortal series I really liked that the grip button fingers was gradually squeezing together, when moving the hand closer to a button. I am using Unity version 2018.4.8f1 together with Oculus 1.38.4 and VRTK. I have a pinpad with buttons that use the directional joint drive from VRTK. I am kind of new to Unity and the animator, since I am doing a project for my master thesis, but what I want to do is create a zone near the pinpad and a script that automatically makes the hand go into this "state". I have a toolbox that is currently parented to the controllers via VRTK controller script alias. When I setup hand tracking the the object correctly parents to the controller anchor but its upside-down and (left hand) and backwards. Also of note is both my pointers on the left and right hand point to eh transforms right instead of forward. Anyone have any tips on how to fix this? Hello just wondering if anyone is having issue with the new update , We have 2 headsets one with build 3.6 working perfectly , the second updated last night has the following issues - depending on the hand being used the other with disappear. - upon grabbing an item the whole game crashes since that's at the start of the level we cant report anymore but this is obviously does us a concern. If Devs are listening , any ideas? -is there an update to oculus integration coming - can we downgrade our headsets? Thanks for your time Mark965Views0likes1Comment
